FTU- Don't Flatter Yourself...

*Click for bigger

This tutorial is borne from my own manipulated lil' mind.
Any similarity to any other tutorial(s) is purely coincidental.
This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge of PSP
and was written using PSP XI, tho' any version should work.

Supplies Needed:
Scrapkit: Tasha's pretty pretty portion of the FTU Glamorous Collab,
which you can find here.
Tube: is from the talented Mr. Arthur Crowe. It's called Sexy Green Eyes
You can get this tube by going to his store, Arthur Crowe's Factory.
Do NOT use this artwork unless you have a license to do so
& have purchased the tube.
Template: FlatterYourself is from my Sweet friend, Angi.
You can find it here.
* Leave some love when downloading the kit & template. ;)

Filters: Mura Meister Copies
Xero- Moodlight
Xero- Radiance
Xero-Fritillary
Eye Candy 4000 HSB Noise
Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow

Font: Caramel Crunch
Drop shadow used in this tutorial is 1 4 40 4, black.
This will be on a transparent background (if animating),
so we won't be using too many drop shadows.;)
Let's do this! =)

Save your progress often.;)

Open up the template. Duplicate it & close original.
Delete the credit layer at the top.
Working from the bottom layer of the template, up:
On the BottomRectangle, Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper8, resized 80%.
Hit delete & select none. If animating, do NOT add a drop shadow,
but add a gradient glow- fat in black:

Next, merge the TopThinRectangle down onto the BottomThinRectangle
& then down onto the CenterThinRectangle.
Then on this merged layer, Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 10, resized 85%.
Hit delete & select none. Duplicate for a total of 3.
On the bottom one, apply EC 4000 HSB Noise at these settings:
Repeat for the other two layers, hitting random seed each time.
Then go over all three layers with the same black gradient glow.
If animating, do NOT add a drop shadow.
Close off the top two of these layers for now.
Name these layers Thin rectangles 1, 2 & 3

Next, copy & paste paper 4. Resize 70% & rotate 10 left.
Then, on the  LeftRectangle- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
On your rotated paper layer, Hit delete & select none.
Duplicate & mirror. Delete the original rectangle layer
& the RightRectangle layer. If animating, do NOT add a drop shadow.

CenterCircle- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 9, resized 70%.
Hit delete & select none. Crop to canvas.
If animating, do NOT add a drop shadow
Move this up in the canvas a little bit.

CenterOval- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 6, resized 80%.
Hit delete & select none. Now, add your closeup.
Apply Mura Meister Copies at these settings:
Next, give this layer a Motion Blur at these settings:
Repeat the blur.
* Alternately, you can also go to distortion effects-
Wind 100 right, then again going left.
Now go back to your oval layer- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
on your blurred tube layer, hit delete.
Then copy & paste your closeup again, hit delete & select none.
Crop to canvas.
On your blurred layer, drop the opacity to 65%.
On your tube layer, apply Xero: Moodlight at these settings:
The colour I have set for mine is #350609
Then go over it again with Xero- Radiance at these settings:
And add a drop shadow.

On your oval layer, add a fat gradient glow, using a colour from your tube:
Then, using your magic wand, click on your gradient glow
& add noise: Uniform/ Monochrome/ 75%.
Select none. If animating, do NOT add a drop shadow.
Now, drag the DottedOval layer below your tube layer in the layers palette.

If you choose to animate the word art,
click the word Flatter with your magic wand.
Promote to layer & colourise to your own preferences.
Select none then duplicate so you have three.
On the bottom layer, apply Xero-Fritillary at these settings:
Repeat for the other two, changing the variation to 36 & 38.
Name each of these layers Flatter 1, 2 & 3.
Close off these top 2 flatter word layers for now.
Colourise the rest of the word art as you prefer.

For the medium & small star, colourise to your own preferecnes
& add some noise at the same settings above to them.

Next, copy & paste your main tube.
Resize about 75%. Apply Xero- Radiance at the same settings as the closeup.
Position to the left on the tag & add a drop shadow.

Now it's time for some elements.
Some of these we won't add a drop shadow to.;)

Discoball- Resize 40%. Sharpen. Place to the top left.
Drag this below your main tube in the layers palette.
Do NOT add a drop shadow.

Lightstreak2- resize 65%. Carefully postion it on your main tube,
keeping it on the template.
I added noise to mine. Then duplicate it & drag one below your tube.
On the top one, erase some of it so it looks like its wrapping around her.

Tiara- Resize 75% & sharpen.
Place on the top of the oval & add a drop shadow.

Purse- Resize 70% & sharpen. Place to the right, keeping it on the temp.
Add a drop shadow.

Sucker 2- Resize 65%. Rotate 15 right. Sharpen. Place on the right with the purse.

Heart- resize 65%. Rotate 12 right & sharpen. Place to the right, with the purse.
Add a drop shadow.

Flowers 1, 2 & 4- Resize each 45%.
Sharpen each & position into a cluster in the upper right.
Add a drop shadow to each.

Place by the heart & add drop shadow.

Shoe- mirror. Resize 37%. Sharpen.
Place with the earrings & heart. Drop shadow.

Lips2- Resize 50%. Rotate 15 left & sharpen.
Position to the right of your closeup. No drop shadow.

Now, crop/ resize your tag to your own preferences.
Then, add your proper copyrights & watermarks.

Now add your name. Rotate it slightly to the left.
Add a bevel:
Then add a medium gradient glow:
Now, if you're NOT animating,
copy & paste the scatter & position at the top.
Right click in the layers palette & send this layer to the bottom
Delete the white background layer at the bottom,
merge visible & save as a PNG & you're done.
This is what you'll have:
If animating, continue on...
Delete the white background layer at the bottom.
Make sure you have Thin rectangles 1 & Flatter 1 open & the duplicates closed.
Copy merged & paste in animation shop.
Go back into PSP & close off Thin rectangles 1 & open Thin rectangles 2.
Do the same for Flatter 1, closing it & opening Flatter 2.
Again, copy merged & paste after current frame in Animation Shop.
Go back into PSP again. Close off Thin rectangles 2 & open Thin rectangles 3.
Do the same for Flatter 2, closing it & opening Flatter 3.
Copy merged & paste after current frame in animation shop.
Save at these settings:
and you're done.
