PTU- Hard Rockin'

* Click for bigger

This tutorial is borne from my own manipulated lil' mind.
Any similarity to any other tutorial(s) is purely coincidental.
This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge of PSP
and was written using PSP XI, tho' any version should work.

Supplies Needed:
Scrapkit: Amy Marie's Hard Rock kit.
This is a PTU kit that you can find at Artistic Reality Talent.
Tube: For the example above, I'm using the beautiful artwork of Keith Garvey.
You can find this & many other of his stunning tubes at PTE.
For my other example, I used an Exclusive commission from The Hunter.
This tube can only be earned at my Dark-Light forum.
Never use any artwork unless you have a license to do so
& have purchased or earned the tube.
Mask: Of choice.

Filters: Xero- Radiance
Xero- Porcelain
Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow

Fonts: Pastor of Muppets for the word art
Satisfaction for the name
Drop shadow used in this tutorial is 2 2 80 6.

Let's do this! =)

Save your progress often.;)

Open a new canvas 650 X 650 px.
Copy & paste one of the stamp frames.
Resize 115%. Move up in the canvas
so you have more room at the bottom.

With your magic wand, click inside both sides of the frame.
Modify- Expand by 2. Invert. Paste paper of choice.
Hit delete. Then add your closeup or tube to both sides.
Resize them as needed. Hit delete & select none.
Crop to canvas. Duplicate your left closeup layer.
On the bottom tube, change the blend mode to Luminance (L).
On the top one, add a gaussian blur of 3.
Change the blend mode to Soft Light.
On the bottom one, add a blinds effect:
Add a drop shadow to the bottom tube.
On the other closeup, add Xero- Radiance at these settings:
Then add your drop shadow.
Add a drop shadow to your frame, also.

Now, add one of the wires from the kit.
Send to the bottom in your layers palette.
Add a drop shadow.

Next add your main tube at the top in your layers palette.
If using the same tube as me, use the one without the stool she's on.
Resize about 80%. Position her in the center.
Then apply Xero- Porcelain at these settings:
And add your drop shadow.

Now we'll add some elements:
Amp1- Resize 27%. Move this below your main tube
so she's sitting on it. Sharpen & add a drop shadow.

drumset- Resize 65%.
Move below your main tube & the amp.
Place off to the right. Add your drop shadow.

backstagepass- Resize 50%. Rotate 15 left.
Sharpen. Place in the top left corner of the frame.
Duplicate & move the bottom one down
below your frame & paper in the layers palette.
On the top one, use your lasso to select part of the strap:
Then hit delete & select none.
Next, use your magic wand & click the black photo box.
Invert. Copy & paste your tube.
Resize so it fits & hit delete. Select none.
Then, add a drop shadow to both the backstage passes.

Guitar 2 & 3- Resize both 60%.
Rotate guitar 2- 12 right & place on the left by the amp.
Move it below your main tube.
Rotate guitar 3- 12 left & place by the drums.
Sharpen & add a drop shadow to both.

microphone3- Resize 37%. Sharpen.
Place in front of the drums, near your tube.
Move this below your tube layer.
Add your drop shadow.

partstage3- Resize 105%.
Move this down below your drums layer.
Position it so the amp, etc. is sitting on it.
You might have to move your elements in a bit.;)
Sharpen & add a drop shadow.

spikedheart- Resize 35%.
Place on the top left corner of the frame.
Add a drop shadow.

record1- Resize 45%. Place on the top right of the frame.
Add a drop shadow.

cd2- Resize 30%.
cd1- Resize 25%. Place both with the record.
Position them like my example.
Add a drop shadow to each.

Add any other elements you want at this time.
Then add one more paper of choice.
Apply mask of choice & merge group.
Right click & send this to bottom in the layers palette.

Next add your word art of choice at the top.
Add a gradient glow:
Then give it a drop shadow.

Next, crop/ resize your tag to your own preferences.
Then, add your proper copyrights & watermarks.

Now, add your name.
Rotate 15 left.
Add some noise- Uniform/ Monochrome/ 80%.
Give it a gradient glow:
And add your drop shadow.

Finally, merge visible & save as a PNG.

Here's my other version:
Thank you for trying my tutorial.
I enjoy seeing any of your results. =)
