PTU- Roller Girl

This tutorial is borne from my own manipulated lil' mind. 
Any similarity to any other tutorial(s) is purely coincidental.
This tutorial was written for those who have a working 
knowledge of PSP and was written using PSP XI, 
tho' any version should work.

Supplies Needed: 
Scrapkit: I'm using an awesome PTU kit named Roller Girl 
from Tasha's Playground. You can find this kit only at PTE.

Tube: I'm using the always beautiful artwork of 
Mr. Keith Garvey which can also be found at PTE
Do NOT use this artwork unless you have a license 
to do so & have purchased the tube.

Template: Template001 from me, here.

Mask: Mask 177 from Insatiable Dreams.
You can find it here.

Filters: Xenofex 2- Constellation
Xero- Radiance
Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow 

Font: American Pop Two
Drop shadow used in this tutorial is 4 4 75 4, black.

Save your progress often.;)

Let's do this! =)

Open up the template. Duplicate it & close original. 
Delete the credit layer at the top.
Working from the bottom layer of the template, up:

Copy & paste paper13. Apply mask & merge group.
Resize the mask 105%.

Top Left square- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper11, resized 80%.
Hit delete & select none. Crop to canvas.

Bottom Right Square- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper3, resized 80%.
Hit delete & select none. Crop to canvas.
Add a drop shadow.

Top Right Square- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper6, resized 80%.
Hit delete & select none. Add a drop shadow.

Bottom Square- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper12, resized 80%.
Hit delete & select none. 

Circle- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper8, resized 80%.
Hit delete & select none. 

Oval Center- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper14. Hit delete 
& keep selected. Add the skyline. Resize 115%. 
Hit delete. Select none. Crop to canvas.
Add Xenofex 2- constellation at these settings to the skyline:
Add a drop shadow to the skyline.

Oval Frame- Use manual color correction to change it white.
Add noise- Uniform/ Monochrome/ 80%.
Add a drop shadow.

Star 1- move to top right. Select all- float. Defloat- Invert. 
Delete this layer & paste paper2, resized 70%.
Hit delete & keep selected. Add your closeup, 
resized 80%. Hit delete & select none. 
Crop to canvas. Add a thin gradient glow to the star:
Add a drop shadow. 

Desaturate your closeup.
Effects- Artistic Effects- Halftone at these settings:

Delete Star 2, Star 3 & Star 4.

Next, copy & paste your main tube. Position near the left.
Add Xero- Radiance at these settings:
Then add a drop shadow.

Now we'll add some elements.
For each one I added, I sharpened & added 
a drop shadow to, unless specified otherwise.

swirl- 80%. Add a small gradient glow:
NO drop shadow.

flame- 60%. Add the same gradient glow in black.
safetypin- 60%. 
keychain- 50%
flower2- 45%
sparkle 2
mp3player- 45%. Rotate 30 left.
brassknuckles- 60%. Rotate 17 left.
marble- 60%. Duplicate & resize 2nd one another 80%.
deco- 55%
deco2- 50%. Duplicate & mirror.
flair
guitarpick- 80%. Rotate 14 right.
scatter- 65%. Duplicate. Mirror & flip.
star- 60%. Rotate 17 left.
star2- 45%. Rotate 20 right.
skate- 50%. Duplicate. Rotate one of them 60 right & flip. 
Mirror the other.

lollipop- 60%. Rotate 12 right. 
badge- 65%. Rotate 23 left.
ticket- 65%. Rotate 90 right. Duplicate for a total of 3.
Rotate each of the duplicates 10 left & 10 right.
Sharpen. Duplicate these rotated tickets one more time 
& rotate them each 10 left & 10 right. Sharpen.
Merge all together. Rotate 15 left & sharpen.
Then add a drop shadow to the merge group.

Now, crop/ resize your tag to your own preferences.
Then, add your proper copyrights & watermarks.

Now add your name. Add a bevel:
Then add a gradient glow:
Then add a drop shadow.

Delete the white background base at the bottom.
Merge visible, save as a PNG & enjoy. =)

  1. I tried to do this part I am using psp x6

    didn't do it.. the paper became square and not in the selection..

      I'm trying to figure out what you mean exactly, but I'll try my best.

      You said you had trouble with this part- 'select all- float. Defloat- Invert. Delete this layer & paste paper11, resized 80%',

      First of all, you'll need to make sure when selecting that part of the template, that that layer is 'active' in your layers palette or else it won't work.

      Next, copy & paste your paper as a new layer. You may need to move the paper (after you resize it) to better 'fill' that area that has the selection before you hit the delete on your keyboard.

      From there, after I select none, I do a crop around the whole canvas of the tag to remove any 'outside' traces of the paper that may be overlapping outside the canvas. I do that since sometimes when you go to add a drop shadow, there will be a 'phantom shadow' on the outer edges of the tag. cropping to canvas helps prevent that from happening.
