PTU- Hot As Hell

* Click for bigger

This tutorial is borne from my own manipulated lil' mind.
Any similarity to any other tutorial(s) is purely coincidental.
This tutorial was written for those who have a working
knowledge of PSP and was written using PSP XI,
tho' any version should work.

Supplies Needed:
Scrapkit: I'm using an awesome kit from Purple's Kreationz
named Heavy Metal Lover. You can find it at Scrap-A-Licious.

Tube: I'm using the always hot artwork of Keith Garvey.
I had gotten mine from PTE, but they are now closed.
The good news is Keith will have tubes available at his store
as of Sept. 1st, so keep an eye out for it.
Do NOT use this artwork unless you have a license to do so
& have purchased the tube.

Template: template_flames3 from Biene on the Creative Misfits blog.
It can be found here.
* Leave some love when snagging the temp. ;)

Mask: of choice. I can't provide the one I'm using,
since the site is no longer online.

Filters: Xero- Radiance
Eye Candy 4000- Gradient Glow

Font: Satisfaction

Drop shadow: 5 5 50 5, black.
Save your progress often.;)

Let's do this! =)

Open up the template. Duplicate it & close original.
Delete the credit layer at the top.
Working from the bottom layer of the template, up:

black rectangle - Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste PK-HML-P5.
Hit delete & select none. Add a drop shadow.

For the flames, I wasn't able to add a gradient glow,
unless I did the following:
Select all- float. Defloat. Delete this layer.
Add a new layer. Flood fill with the red from the colour palette.
Select none. Then add a gradient glow:
Next, use your magic wand to click on the glowed areas.
Add some noise- Uniform/ Monochrome/ 65%.
Select none. Then add your drop shadow.

bottom squares- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste PK-HML-P8. Hit delete.
Keep selected & add your closeup to the bottom right square.
Resize 75% & hit delete. Select none.
Desaturate the closeup & change the opacity to 80%.

top squares- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste PK-HML-P4. Hit delete.
Keep selected. Add your closeup to the top left square.
Resize if needed & hit delete. Select none. Crop to canvas.
Desaturate the closeup & add a drop shadow.

topframes- Select all- float. Defloat.
Delete this layer & add a new layer.
Flood fill with a gradient:
Angle- 45/ Repeats 2.
#ef3c3d  & #910302 for the colours.
Select none & add a drop shadow.
Do the same for the bottomframes.

wordingback- add a drop shadow. Link set it to 1.
wording hot as hell- link to 1 also.
Then move these down in your canvas.

Next add your tube.
Apply Xero-Radiance at these settings:
Add your drop shadow.

Next we'll add some elements.
For each one I added, I sharpened & added
a drop shadow to, unless specified otherwise.

PK-HML-BARBEDWIRE- 66%. Rotate 90 right.
Duplicate & mirror.

PK-HML-SCREW- 40%. Duplicate & merge down.
Duplicate again & mirror.

PK-HML-KNUCKLES- 50%. Rotate 10 left.
PK-HML-LIPS- 45%. Rotate 12 right.
PK-HML-CORSET- 55%. Rotate 8 left.
PK-HML-SHOE- 45%. Duplicate.
PK-HML-CROSS- 60% Rotate 12 right.

Add any other elements, if you prefer at this time.

Next copy & paste PK-HML-P1. Apply mask of choice.
Merge group & send to the bottom.
Delete the white background at the bottom.

Now, crop/ resize your tag to your own preferences.
Then, add your proper copyrights & watermarks.

Now add your name. Add a gradient glow:
Then add your drop shadow.

Merge visible, save as a PNG & enjoy. =)
