PTU- Party In The City

This tutorial is borne from my own manipulated lil' mind. 
Any similarity to any other tutorial(s) is purely coincidental.
This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge of PSP
and was written using PSP XI, tho' any version should work.

Supplies Needed: 
Scrapkit: Party In The City (PTU) by Tasha's Playground
This fun kit is part of an exclusive collab only at Scraps And The City 
& will be released on May 1st.

Tube: I'm using the gorgeous artwork of Zebrush, named Stacy.
You can find this one & many others at Pics For Design.
Do NOT use this artwork unless you have a license to do so 
& have purchased the tube.
Template: ladybug and debb collab 4, 
which can be found at Creative Misfits at this link: Collab Templates.

* Make sure to leave some love when downloading the temps.;)
Filters: Xero- Radiance
Xero- Porcelain
Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow 
Font: Blake
Let's do this! =)

Save your progress often.;)
Drop shadow used in this tutorial is 1 3 48 5.

Open up the template. Duplicate it & close original. 
Delete the credit layer & the pixel words layer.
Working from the bottom layer of the template, up:

Raster 2- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper7, resized 70%.
Hit delete & select none. Crop to canvas. Add a drop shadow.

Copy of Raster 2- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 6, resized 70%.
Hit delete & select none. Crop to canvas. Add a drop shadow.

Glitter frame- Leave as it is.

On the oval, select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 3, resized 75%.
Hit delete & select none.

For Frames 1, 2, 3 & 4- add a drop shadow to each.

Then go back down to Box 1- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 5, resized 60%. 
Hit delete & select none.

Box 3- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 1, resized 70%.
Hit delete & keep selected. Copy & paste your closeup or tube. 
Resize/ position as desired & hit delete. Select none. 
Crop to canvas. Duplicate this tube layer & on the top one, 
apply a Gaussian blur at 3. Then change the blend mode to 
Soft Light at 60%. On the bottom tube, drop the opacity down to 60%.

Raster 3- with your magic wand, click inside every-other star.
Add a new layer & flood fill with a foreground/ background gradient of 
#c71012 & #000000. Angle- 36/ repeats-5. Select none.
Then go back on the raster 3 layer & click the remaining stars with your magic wand.
Add a new layer & flood fill with a foreground/ background gradient of 
#bcb6b6 & #000000. Angle- 45/ repeats-3. Select none.
Add some noise to these stars- Uniform/ Monochrome/ 75%.
Delete the raster 3 layer. Then merge the grey/black stars down 
onto the red/black star layer. Add a gradient glow set at 3:
Then add a drop shadow.

Box 4- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 4, resized 80%.
Hit delete & keep selected. Copy & paste your closeup again. 
Resize/ position as needed & hit delete. Select none. 
Crop to canvas. Change the blend mode of the tube layer to Screen at 80%.

Box 2- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 2.
Hit delete select none. Crop to canvas. 

For the Glitter stars- add a drop shadow.

Next, copy & paste your main tube.
Resize 65% & position her so she's sitting on the one box on the lower right.
Add Xero- Radiance at these settings:
Then apply Xero- Porcelain at these settings:
Then add a drop shadow.

Now it's time for some elements.
Copy & paste the gem. Resize about 27% & sharpen.
Duplicate twice for a total of 3.
Position them so they sit over the middle white dots from the paper (the oval).
* Look by her knee going to the left on my example.
Add a drop shadow to each.

Next, add the bow2. Resize 60% & sharpen.
Position this on the left side of the tag, just under the box.
Add a drop shadow.

Next add flower3. Resize 45% & sharpen. 
Position this on the upper right of the tag on top of the circle.
Drag this layer below the tube layer & add a drop shadow.

Now, copy & paste the wordart.
Duplicate it & add a gradient glow at the same settings we used for the stars.
Then add some noise to this glowed layer- Uniform/ Monochrome/ 75%.
Merge the top layer down onto this glowed layer.
Duplicate it again, & drag the bottom layer above your tube in the layers palette.
On the top layer above your tube, erase the part part of wordart that is on your tube, 
above her legs. Then add a drop shadow to this layer.

Next, add the present. Resize 60% & sharpen.
Position it on the lower right of the tag. Duplicate & mirror. 
Resize this second present 70% & position on the left. 
Duplicate again & resize this one 80%. 
Mirror & position this one by the present on the left.
Add a drop shadow to all three.

Next add the cupcake, resize 45% & sharpen.
Position this by the present on the right & add a drop shadow.

Next add the firework. Rotate left 17 & resize 45%.
Position in the top left corner. Sharpen & duplicate. 
On the second, mirror & resize 70%.
Sharpen this one & postion over by the other one.
On the bottom firework, add noise- Uniform/ Monochrome/ 35%.
On the duplicate, colourise red & then add the same noise.
Merge this one down onto the other firewrok layer.
Then in the layers palette, right click this merged layer & send to the bottom.
Do not add a drop shadow to these.

Back at the top in your layers palette, add the drink.
Resize 50%. Drag this layer below your cupcake layer 
& position it so it's 'behind' the cupcake. Add a drop shadow.

Next, copy & paste the streamer.
Resize 50% & duplicate this for a total of 4. 
Recolour two of them black. Then scatter them around the tag,  
resizing & mirroring them, like my example.
Do not add a drop shadow to these.

Now add the partyhat. Resize 55%. Rotate 120 right.
Position to the left by the 2 presents & 
drag this layer below your tube layer.
Add your drop shadow.

Next, crop/ resize your tag to your own preferences.
Then, add your proper copyrights & watermarks.

Next, add your name in white.
Give it a gradient glow set at 3:
Then add a drop shadow.

Finally, merge visible & save as a .PNG & you're all done.

FTU- Simple Elegance

Supplies Needed: 
Scrapkit: the beautiful FTU kit- Monochrome from the sweet & talented MizTeeque.
Tube: I'm using the lovely artwork from Rene Kunert, named black Rose.

Do NOT use this artwork unless you have a license to do so 
& have purchased the tube.
Template: Template 127 from Rachel at Scraps of Enchantment.
Scroll down a bit & it's on the first page.;)
Filters: Tramages- Metal Peacocks

DBS Flux- Bright noise
Xero- Radiance
Eye Candy 5: Impact- Perspective Shadow.
Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow 
Font: Dutch & Harley

Let's do this! =)
Save your progress often.;)
Drop shadow used in this tutorial is 2 2 60 4.

Open up the template. Duplicate it & close original. 
Delete the credit layer & resize the template so it's 600 px in width.
Working from the bottom layer of the template, up:

Circle Background- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 7, resized 70%.
Hit delete & keep selected.
Add your close up or tube & hit delete. Select none.
Crop to canvas. Desaturate your tube 
(I used the black & white closeup that is avail. with my tube) 
& drop the opacity down to 40%. Add a drop shadow.

Circle Frame- add a drop shadow.

Rectangle Background- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 11, resized 70%.
Hit delete & select none.

Rectangle Frame- add a drop shadow.

Large Rectangle Background- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 2, resized 70%.
Hit delete & keep selected. Add your tube & hit delete. Select none.
Crop to canvas. Desaturate your tube 
(I used the black & white version that is avail. with my tube) 
& drop the opacity down to 40%. Add a drop shadow.

Large Rectangle Frame- add a drop shadow.

Square Background- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 10, resized 50%.
Hit delete & select none.

Square Frame- Apply Tramages- Metal Peacocks at these settings:
Then add some noise- Uniform/ Monochrome/ 65% & add a drop shadow.

Black & Grey Strips- Add Tramages- Metal Peacocks to both at the same settings.
Then add a drop shadow to both.
Copy & paste element 5. Resize 60%.
Position this just over the black & grey strips.
Using the manual colour correction tool, 
set the source to black & change the target to a dark-ish red:
Then change the blend mode to Overlay.
Using your eraser brush, remove the little bit of excess 
that overhangs past the black strip.;)

On the Brush layer, using your manual color correction, set the source to black & 
change the target to a lighter red or another colour that matches with your tube:
Then use DBS Flux- Bright noise to give it a more subtle 'sparkle':
Do NOT add a drop shadow to the brush. ;)

Next, copy & paste your main tube. Resize as needed. 
Add Xero- Radiance at these settings:
Then add a drop shadow.

Now let's add some elements:
Element 12- resize 37% & sharpen.
Place to the right side & add a drop shadow.

Element 7- resize 45%. Sharpen. 
Place in the top right corner above the 'chain' from element 12.
using your manual color correction, set the source to beige & 
change the target to a light grey like shown in my example:
Then add a drop shadow.

Element 9- resize 19%.
Drag this below your main tube in the layers palette 
& position on the left of the tag.
Next, go down to your circle layer- Select all- float. Defloat- 
Modify- expand by 3 & Invert.
Go back to the bow layer & using your eraser, 
erase the excess ribbon hanging on the top & on the bottom as shown:
Select none, then add a drop shadow.

Next, add element 17. Resize 45%.
Position on the left of your tag, 'behind' your tube.
Drag this layer under your tube layer in the layers palette (if needed) 
& give it a drop shadow.

Element 8- Resize 60% & sharpen.
Position it so it's in the center of the tag.
Add Perspective Shadow at these settings:

Element 13- Resize 50% & sharpen.
Position it so it's in the center of the tag, with the other butterfly.
Add Perspective Shadow at the same settings.

Next, crop/ resize your tag to your own preferences.
Then, add your proper copyrights & watermarks.

Now, add your name in black.
Add a bevel at these settings:
Then give it a gradient glow set at 3:
Then add a drop shadow.

Finally, merge visible & save as a PNG.

Supplies Needed: 
Scrapkit: Black Ice by Tasha's Playground
This is a beautiful PTU kit, you can find here.
Tube: I'm using the awesome artwork of Screaming Demons, 
named Goff, which you can buy at SATC.
Do NOT use this artwork unless you have a license to do so 
& have purchased the tube.
Filters: Xero- SoftMood
Xero- Porcelain
Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow 
Font: Absinthe FT Flourish

Let's do this! =)
Save your progress often.;)
Drop shadow used in this tutorial is 0 2 40 4.

Open up a new image, sized 600 X 600 px.
Copy & paste frame4. Resize 80%. Sharpen.
With your magic wand, click inside the outside ring of the frame.
Modify- expand by 2. Invert. Copy & paste paper 15, resized 70%.
Drag this layer below your frame in the layers palette.
Hit delete & select none. 

Then with your magic wand again, click inside the main part of the frame.
Modify- expand by 2. Invert. copy & paste paper 10.
Hit delete & drag this layer below your frame in the layers palette.
Keep selected & copy & paste your closeup into the frame.
Hit delete & drag this layer below your frame in the layers palette (if needed).
Select none & crop to canvas.

Next, on your closeup, apply Xero- SoftMood:
Change the blend mode to Overlay at 65%. 
Add a drop shadow.

Now, copy & paste your main tube above the frame.
Resize as needed & place her to the left.
Apply Xero- Porcelain at these settings:
Then add a drop shadow.

Next, copy & paste the star scatter.
Resize 90%. Using the manual colour correction, 
change the colour to #830009:
Add a drop shadow & drag this layer to just above 
your white background in the layers palette.

With your frame layer active, copy & paste the first ribbon. Resize 80%.
Mirror & sharpen. Place this at the top of your frame. 
See my example for exact placement. Add a drop shadow.
Duplicate the ribbon, mirror & flip.

Copy & paste the crow. Mirror & resize 35%.
Place him at the top of the frame, over on the right side.
Sharpen & add a drop shadow.

Next, copy & paste the white flower. Resize 60% & mirror. 
Place on the bottom right of the frame. Sharpen & add a drop shadow.

Copy & paste the first leaf. Resize 30%.
Drag this under your flowers layer & position on the lower left side of them.
Sharpen & add a drop shadow.
Duplicate this leaf & mirror the second one.  Resize it 80%. 
Rotate 25 left. Then place this one on the other side of the flowers.

Next, add rose2. Resize 45%. Rotate 40 left. 
Place this in the center of the white flower.
Sharpen & add a drop shadow.

On the heart string, use your lasso tool to select one of the outside hanging hearts.
Resize it so it's about 200 pixels in length.
Copy & paste this onto your frame, over on the right.
Using the manual color correction, 
colour it at the same settings you used for the star scatter.

Next, copy & paste the spider. Rotate 10 right. 
Resize 27% & sharpen. Place him on top of the flowers 
& add a drop shadow.

Now, crop/ resize your tag to your own preferences.
Then, add your proper copyrights & watermarks.

Next add your name in a red colour.
Duplicate. On the top, apply a bevel:
Then on the bottom, add a gradient glow set at 3:
Then add some noise- Gaussian/ 70%/ Monochrome.
Then add a drop shadow.

Finally, merge visible & save as a PNG & you're done.

Sorry for being so quiet

I apologise for not being so active the past week or so.
I've been a bit under the weather & have also been tied up
with helping someone on a project that I'm excited to tell you all about soon.

*I somehow managed to sprain one of my fingers yesterday, 
so I apologise beforehand for any typos.

The tube I used is a beautiful tube from Zlata_M named EMOstyLe.

I used temp179 from Tamie at Addictive Pleasures.
The kit I used is also from Tamie & is called Emo Style 2.
