FTU- Edgy Rocker

This tutorial is borne from my own manipulated lil' mind. 
Any similarity to any other tutorial(s) is purely coincidental.
This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge of PSP
and was written using PSP XI, tho' any version should work.

Supplies Needed: 
Scrapkit: Edgy Rocker from Kristin at Toxic Desirez.
This is a FTU kit & part of a collab.
Tube: I'm using the stunning artwork of Arthur Crowe.
You can find this & many others only at Arthur Crowe's Factory.
Do NOT use this artwork unless you have a license to do so 
& have purchased the tube.
Template: template 72 from Pooker.
You can find this on her blog hereon the templates page.

Filters: Tramages- Tow The Line
Xero- Radiance
Xero- Porcelain
Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow 

Font: 1 Snappy DNA
Drop shadow used in this tutorial is 2 4 60 4, black.

Let's do this! =)

Save your progress often.;)

Open up the template. Duplicate it & close original. 
Delete the credit layer at the top.
Resize the template so its 650 X 650 px.
Working from the bottom layer of the template, up:

Teal Circle- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste a solid-coloured paper of choice.
Hit delete & select none. Crop to canvas & add a drop shadow.

Grey Angle Rectangle2- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste another solid-coloured paper of choice.
Hit delete & select none.  Crop to canvas.
Duplicate & mirror. Add a drop shadow to both.
Delete Grey Angle Rectangle1.

Black Angle Rectangle2- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 10, resized 80%.
Hit delete & select none. Duplicate & mirror.
Delete Black Angle Rectangle1.

White Circle- Add noise-
Uniform/ Monochrome/ 80%.

Grey Circle- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 6, resized 80%.
Hit delete & select none. 

Teal Rectangle- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 21, resized 80%.
Hit delete & select none. Add a drop shadow.

Black Rectangle- Select all. Float- Defloat- Invert.
Add your closeup. Resize 80%. Hit delete & select none.
Crop to canvas. Duplicate the closeup.

Apply Xero-Radiance at these settings to the top one:
Hide this one for now.
One the bottom one, change the blend mode to Luminance (L).
Add drop shadow.
Apply Tramages- Tow the Line to the black rectangle at these settings:
Frame- Use your manual colour correction tool 
to change it to a darker turquoise blue.
Add noise at the same settings as the white circle. 

Delete the  Teal & White Strips, & stars layers.

Dotted Squares- using these as a guide,
use your selection tool- set to square- to make two squares.
Invert. Unhide your top closeup layer & hit delete. 
Select none. Change the opacity to 80%. 
Delete the dotted squares layer.

Next, copy & paste your main tube. Resize 80%.
Position her over to the right.
Apply Xero- Radiance at the same settings.
Then apply Xero- Porcelain at these settings:
Finally, add a drop shadow.

Now it's time for some elements:
Wire- Position in the far top left corner 
so the point of the star is cut off in your canvas.
Duplicate. Mirror & flip. Send to bottom in layers palette.
Crop to canvas & add a drop shadow.

Next, add the Scatter. Resize 80%.
Move towards the top of the tag.
Sharpen. Duplicate and flip. Merge down. 
Send to bottom above the wire & add a drop shadow.

Back at the top in your layers palette, add the guitar.
Position on the left. Resize 65%. Rotate 12 right. 
Sharpen & add a drop shadow.

Bunny- Resize 30%. Place by the guitar.
Sharpen & add your drop shadow.

iPod Mini- Resize 23%. 
Place this on the right of the guitar.
Sharpen & add a drop shadow.

Beaded String- resize 55%.
Position at the top left.
Sharpen & add a drop shadow.

Bow 3- Resize 40%. Rotate 25 left. Sharpen. 
Place on the bottom right corner of the frame. 
Move below your tube layer & add a drop shadow.

Add any other elements, to make this tag more your own.

Next, crop/ resize your tag to your own preferences.
Then, add your proper copyrights & watermarks.

Now add your name.
On the bottom layer, add a gradient glow:
Then add your drop shadow.

Delete the white background layer at the bottom.
Merge visible & save as a PNG & you're done.

PTU- Rocker

Supplies Needed: 
Tube: I'm using a hot new tube, 'Studs' by Justice Howard.
This tube is exclusive to Artistic Reality Talent.
Do NOT use this artwork unless you have a license to do so 
& have purchased the tube.
Scrapkit: Rocker 2 is a PTU kit from Tamie at Addictive Pleasures.

Filters: optikVerve Labs- Virtual Photographer
Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow 
Font: You Are Loved
Drop shadow used in this tutorial is 0 0 100 8.

Let's do this! =)

Save your progress often.;)

Open a new canvas 600 X 600 px.
Add the frame2 to your canvas.
With your magic wand, click inside each of the squares of the frame.
Modify- Expand by 2. Invert. Copy & paste paper or papers of choice.
Hit delete for each paper. Keep selected.
Then add your closeup or tube to the left squares of the frame. 
Resize them as needed. Hit delete & select none. Crop to canvas. 
Move your frame above the paper(s) & tube layers in the palette.
Then add a drop shadow to your frame.

On the top tube of the frame, Select all- Float- Defloat.
(This is to prevent a default black bkgrd on your tag.)
Apply Virtual Photographer at these settings:
Select none. Then duplicate this tube & on the top one, 
add a gaussian blur of 3. 
Change the blend mode to Screen.
Add a drop shadow to the bottom tube. 
On the other closeup, desaturate & add a drop shadow.

Next add your main tube at the top in your layers palette.
Position her off to the right.
Then add your drop shadow.

Now we'll add some elements:

netting- Resize 80%.
Rotate 15 left & place in the top left.
Add the netting again, this time not resizing, & rotate 20 right.
Place this one on the upper right of the tag.
Merge down on the other netting layer.
Send to bottom in layers palette.
Do not add a drop shadow.

stars- Resize 80%.
Use your manual color correction tool 
to change them to a colour from your tube.
Sharpen. Place them in the top right of the tag.
Send to bottom in layers palette above the netting.
Add a drop shadow, dropping the opacity of the shadow 
to 40 so it's not so 'heavy'.

Back at the top in your layers palette, 
add the skull. Resize 55%. Rotate 13 left.
Place in the top left corner of the frame.
Sharpen & add a drop shadow, 
make sure you change the opacity back to 100.

bow- Resize 55%. Rotate 30 left.
Use the manual color correction to match your tube.
Sharpen. Place on the left in the corner of the bottom part of the frame.
Add a drop shadow.

badge- Resize 45%.
Place on the bottom right of the frame.
Sharpen & add a drop shadow.

guitar- Resize 50%. Rotate 60 left.
Place on the left side of the tag.
Sharpen & add your drop shadow.

guitarpick- Resize 35%. Place with the guitar.
Sharpen & add a drop shadow.

Add any other elements you want at this time 
to make the tag more 'yours'.

Now, crop/ resize your tag to your own preferences.
Then, add your proper copyrights & watermarks.

Now, add your name.
Give it a gradient glow:
Then add a drop shadow.

Finally, merge visible & save as a PNG & you're done.

PTU- Hard Rockin'

This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge of PSP

Supplies Needed: 
Scrapkit: Amy Marie's Hard Rock kit. 
This is a PTU kit that you can find at Artistic Reality Talent.
Tube: For the example above, I'm using the beautiful artwork of Keith Garvey.
 You can find this & many other of his stunning tubes at PTE.
For my other example, I used an Exclusive commission from The Hunter.
This tube can only be earned at my Dark-Light forum.
Never use any artwork unless you have a license to do so 
& have purchased or earned the tube.
Mask: Of choice.

Filters: Xero- Radiance
Xero- Porcelain
Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow 

Fonts: Pastor of Muppets for the word art
Satisfaction for the name
Drop shadow used in this tutorial is 2 2 80 6.

Let's do this! =)

Save your progress often.;)

Open a new canvas 650 X 650 px.
Copy & paste one of the stamp frames.
Resize 115%. Move up in the canvas 
so you have more room at the bottom.

With your magic wand, click inside both sides of the frame.
Modify- Expand by 2. Invert. Paste paper of choice. 
Hit delete. Then add your closeup or tube to both sides. 
Resize them as needed. Hit delete & select none. 
Crop to canvas. Duplicate your left closeup layer.
On the bottom tube, change the blend mode to Luminance (L).
On the top one, add a gaussian blur of 3. 
Change the blend mode to Soft Light.
On the bottom one, add a blinds effect:
Add a drop shadow to the bottom tube. 
On the other closeup, add Xero- Radiance at these settings:
Then add your drop shadow.
Add a drop shadow to your frame, also.

Now, add one of the wires from the kit.
Send to the bottom in your layers palette.
Add a drop shadow.

Next add your main tube at the top in your layers palette.
If using the same tube as me, use the one without the stool she's on.
Resize about 80%. Position her in the center.
Then apply Xero- Porcelain at these settings:
And add your drop shadow.

Now we'll add some elements:
Amp1- Resize 27%. Move this below your main tube 
so she's sitting on it. Sharpen & add a drop shadow.

drumset- Resize 65%. 
Move below your main tube & the amp. 
Place off to the right. Add your drop shadow.

backstagepass- Resize 50%. Rotate 15 left.
Sharpen. Place in the top left corner of the frame.
Duplicate & move the bottom one down 
below your frame & paper in the layers palette.
On the top one, use your lasso to select part of the strap:
Then hit delete & select none.
Next, use your magic wand & click the black photo box.
Invert. Copy & paste your tube. 
Resize so it fits & hit delete. Select none.
Then, add a drop shadow to both the backstage passes.

Guitar 2 & 3- Resize both 60%. 
Rotate guitar 2- 12 right & place on the left by the amp.
Move it below your main tube.
Rotate guitar 3- 12 left & place by the drums.
Sharpen & add a drop shadow to both.

microphone3- Resize 37%. Sharpen.
Place in front of the drums, near your tube.
Move this below your tube layer.
Add your drop shadow.

partstage3- Resize 105%. 
Move this down below your drums layer.
Position it so the amp, etc. is sitting on it.
You might have to move your elements in a bit.;)
Sharpen & add a drop shadow.

spikedheart- Resize 35%.
Place on the top left corner of the frame.
Add a drop shadow.

record1- Resize 45%. Place on the top right of the frame.
Add a drop shadow.

cd2- Resize 30%. 
cd1- Resize 25%. Place both with the record.
Position them like my example.
Add a drop shadow to each.

Add any other elements you want at this time.
Then add one more paper of choice.
Apply mask of choice & merge group. 
Right click & send this to bottom in the layers palette.

Next add your word art of choice at the top.
Add a gradient glow:
Then give it a drop shadow.

Next, crop/ resize your tag to your own preferences.
Then, add your proper copyrights & watermarks.

Now, add your name.
Rotate 15 left.
Add some noise- Uniform/ Monochrome/ 80%.
Give it a gradient glow:
And add your drop shadow.

Finally, merge visible & save as a PNG.

Tag Show Off: Keith Garvey- Back Off

It's that time again. =)
I have some tags to give out to my blog friends.
This time I chose to make a Last Word tag for you all.=P

Drop shadow used in this tutorial is 2 4 48 4, black.

Save your progress often.;)

Open up the template. Duplicate it & close original. 
Delete the credit layer at the top.
Resize the template so its 650 X 650 px.
Then change the canvas size to 650 X 665 px.
Working from the bottom layer of the template, up:
Delete the white background layer at the bottom.

Raster 4- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 14. Hit delete & select none. 
Crop to canvas & add a drop shadow.

Raster 7- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 11.
Hit delete & select none.  
Crop to canvas & add a drop shadow.

Raster 8- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 7, resized 80%.
Hit delete & select none. Crop to canvas.

Raster 3- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 3.
Hit delete & select none. 
Crop to canvas & add a drop shadow.

Raster 5- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 8.
Hit delete & select none. Crop to canvas.

Raster 9- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 20.
Hit delete & select none. Crop to canvas.

Raster 2- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 24, resized 70%.
Hit delete & select none. Crop to canvas.

Copy of Raster 2- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 21.
Hit delete & select none. Crop to canvas.

Raster 6- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 17.
Hit delete & keep selected.
Copy & paste your close up. 
Hit delete & select none. Crop to canvas.
On your closeup layer, apply Xero- radiance at these settings:
Bring the opacity down to about 80%. 
Add a drop shadow.

Raster 10- use your manual color correction tool to adjust 
it to the light yellow from the colour palette in the kit. 
Add noise- Uniform/ Monochrome/ 75%. 
Add a drop shadow.

Raster 11- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 4, resized 60%.
Hit delete & keep selected.
Copy & paste your close up. Resize to about 60%. 
Hit delete & select none. Crop to canvas.
On your closeup layer, apply Xero- Porcelain at these settings:
Add your drop shadow.

Raster 12- use your manual color correction tool to adjust it 
to the darker red from my colour palette. 
Add noise- Uniform/ Monochrome/ 75%. Add a drop shadow.

Next, copy & paste your main tube.
Resize as needed (about 57%) so she fits on the tag. 
Position her over to the left.
Apply Xero- Radiance at the same settings you used before.
Then apply Xero- Porcelain (same settings) 
& add a drop shadow.

Now it's time for some elements.
For each one that is resized, 
sharpen before adding your drop shadow.

Copy & paste the wire. Resize 90%.
Position up at the top. Duplicate & flip.
Merge down. Right click in the layers & send to bottom.
Add a drop shadow.

Back at the top in your layers, add the skullNflames. 
Resize 70%. Position down at the bottom of the template. 
Drag below your rotate left square in layers palette.
Sharpen & add your drop shadow.

flower 2- Mirror. Resize 35%.
Place on the top right of the tag.
Move below your main tube in the layers palette.

lips 2- Resize 75%. Rotate 12 right & sharpen.
Place at the top right. Add your drop shadow.

kitty- Mirror. Resize 63%.
Place this little guy over on the left.
Add your drop shadow.

heart charm 1- Resize 45%. 
Position off center to the left.
Sharpen & add a drop shadow.

roses- Resize 60%. Place on near the top left.
Sharpen & drop shadow.

skull rose- Mirror. resize 60%.
Sharpen. Place on the left like my example.
Add your drop shadow.

butterfly 1- Resize 45%. 
Rotate 17 right & sharpen.
When adding your drop shadow use 10, 4 48 4, black.
Place on the top left.

cupcake 1- Resize 37%. Place by the kitty.
Add your drop shadow. 
* Make sure you change the settings back. ;)

star lolli- Resize 57%. Roate 17 left. 
Place behind the cupcake.
Sharpen & drop shadow.

Add any other elements, if you choose.

Now, crop/ resize your tag to your own preferences.
Then, add your proper copyrights & watermarks.

Now add your name. Duplicate it.
On the bottom layer, add a gradient glow:
Then apply Eye Candy 400 HSB Noise at default settings 
to the glowed layer & add your drop shadow.

Merge visible & save as a PNG & you're done.

PTU- Celebrate Life

Supplies Needed: 
Scrapkit: Party Rock from Tasha's Playground
This kit is exclusive to PTE.
Tube: Magnolia from Lady Mishka.
This was a prepaid commission on Pics For Design
but you can get if you have an Exclusive Membership.
Do NOT use this artwork unless you have a license to do so 
& have purchased the tube.

Filters: Xero- Radiance
Xero- Porcelain
Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow 
Font: Lobster
Drop shadow used in this tutorial is 0 0 80 5.

Let's do this! =)

Save your progress often.;)

Open a new canvas 600 X 600 px.

Add frame 4. Resize 80%. Sharpen.
* Optional to change the frame colour- 
Select the frame- float- defloat- Invert.
Copy & paste paper 8. Hit delete & select none.
Delete the original frame.

With your magic wand, click inside the left rec. of frame.
Modify- Expand by 2. Invert. 
Copy & paste paper 12, resized 80%. Hit delete. 
Then add your tube. Resize as needed. 
Hit delete & select none. Crop to canvas. 
Duplicate your tube layer. On the bottom tube, 
change the blend mode to Luminance (L).
On the top one, add a gaussian blur of 3. 
Change the blend mode to screen at 50%.
Add a drop shadow to the bottom tube. 

Next, click inside both the right rectangles of the frame.
Modify- Expand by 2. Invert. 
Paste paper 7, resized 70%. Hit delete.
Next add your tube or closeup. 
Hit delete & select none. Crop to canvas. 
Apply Xero- Radiance to your closeup at these settings:
Then drop the opacity down to 75.
Add a drop shadow.
Move your frame above your paper & tubes in layers palette.
Add a drop shadow to the frame.

Next add your main tube.
Position her on the right side of the frame.
Then apply Xero- Radiance at these settings:
Next add Xero- Porcelain at these settings:
And finally add your drop shadow.

Now we'll add some elements.
For each one I added, I sharpened & added a drop shadow, 
unless specified otherwise.

Stars- 75%. Position on the bottom left.
Right click in layers & send to bottom. 

Dots- 80%. Place to the top left. NO drop shadow.
Move this layer above the stars in layers palette.

bow- 60%. Place in the top left corner of the frame.

Flower 4- 60%. Mirror. Place on bottom left corner of frame.

cake 2- 50%. Place off center to the left.

Partyhat- 60%. Place in front of the cake.

Drink -45%. Duplicate. 
Place both on the side of the cake.

Marble- 70%.
Place in front of the drinks.

Present- 55%. 
Place on the other side of the cake.

Present 2- 55%. 
Place it in front of the other present.

word art- 65%. 
Add a medium gradient glow:
before you add your drop shadow.

Add a new layer & add the word 'life' to your tag.
Add some noise- Uniform/ Monochrome/ 80%.
Add the same gradient glow & drop shadow.

Next, crop/ resize your tag to your own preferences.
Then, add your proper copyrights & watermarks.

Now, add your name.
Add a bevel at these settings:
Give it a gradient glow at the same setting as the word art.
Then add a drop shadow.

Finally, merge visible & save as a PNG.

Join Me Cluster Frame Tags

I have some absolutely AMAZING tags to show off.
