Another One (Unknown) Added To Wall Of Shame

First of all, for those of you who have
commented on my Wall Of Shame page or posts,
thank you for reading, your positive messages
& passing the information along.
I sincerely appreciate your support. =)

Last week I received a message in my
Facebook messages from a friend who alerted me
to a Russian site/ blog who is sharing my FTU kits.
I don't get on FB much these days,
so I didn't see this message until earlier tonight.

When I clicked the link provided,
I saw many of my FTU kits posted on this site
& items were posted individually out of their zipfiles
for anyone to just save what they wanted. >.<

Also, when looking to the left side of the page,
I saw there were links for other designers' kits
being shared in the same manner as well. >.<

You can see for yourselves by looking
on my proof below.
*Note: I am not including the web address to this site,
since I know there ARE people who would go there
only to 'steal' items for their own use & nothing more.
You should be able to click on these to get a better/ bigger pic. ;)

Does seeing this piss me off? You Betcha! >.<
Words cannot describe the rage I'm feeling right now.
And I'm not pissed just because they're sharing my items,
I'm pissed because this person has NO regards to anyone At. All.
& in turn is f*cking others over as well. >.<

Many of you who know me or have followed
my blog, know I advocate for those who have been
ripped off, pirated, etc.
Seeing this does not sit well with me at all.
My 'faith' in the PSP community
has been dangling by a very precious, fragile thread
as it is & that  frayed thread is about to break.

Unfortunately, at this time I won't be offering
any more freebie kits. I'm very sorry to do this,
but until I can figure out something I really have no choice. =/

I love giving out kits & trying to make them reasonably
big enough so a person can use them hopefully more
than once or twice- since I know there are people
who love tagging but can't always afford to buy kits.
I enjoy giving back to the community
as much as I can, but when I have had my kits ripped
by three different so-called 'designers',
been screwed over by a few who were on my CT team
who only was there to get kits & then not work them,
having tags ripped, etc. & now seeing this,
I seriously just want to throw in the towel & walk away.

The only 'positive' thing I can see about this
is that thankfully it's only my FTU kits this person
is sharing- to my knowledge, thus far.
But again, it makes me reluctant to offer
any free kits when I know they're getting shared illegally.
It makes me feel bad for not wanting
to give kits to you guys. I feel like I'm punishing those of you
who are smart enough to abide
by a designers' TOU & respect those TOU.

For now going forth, I will only be offering
FTU cluster frames.
They will have a TOU included with them.
Again, I apologise, but this will have
to suffice until I can think of a way to
make my FTU kits available without worrying
about them being shared like this.

Thank you for reading this.
And thank you even more for your understanding. =)
If you are a designer (I'll need proof, btw) that has read this
& you've seen your name listed on the left
in the screen grabs above,
message me if you choose, for the link to the site.

    1. Thank you so much, sweetie. I'm not sure why this is happening again, either. I'm hoping enough people will give a damn enough to try to get that site shut down... but the other designers need to start paying attention & stop worrying about the unnecessary drama they give each other out of competition & actually deal with this crap.

  3. so sorry to read that your wonderful kits are being stolen---it seems that more and more people don't care about all the hard work it takes to create--hope things get better for you Shar

  4. I'm so sorry that this happens. I don't blame you for being pissed. I'm pissed and I'm not a kit designer but I do use yours and others free kits for tag making. It is just disrespectful and unethical to steal other people's creations period. If you need any help in any way please let us know. The girls from ATP.

  5. I am so very sorry this is happening to you. It seems to be the way of the world these days to have no regard for ethics.

  6. I'm mad for you Magik! It's heartbreaking that other people have no morals or values and truthfully no respect for themselves or others. I can surely understand your desire not to share any more FTU kits and I stand behind you as a tagger in your decision. Although it makes me sad, as I love your kits! I will continue to share and support you as a designer. I have used your new American Rebel frame in one of our challenges at ATP. I sure hope that this will bring you some great support from those of us in the PSP world that are honest and do support all artists and designers! xoxo Moon

  7. Oh dear MagiK I'm so sorry that this is happing to you , and others kit designer too, I really can't understand how people can do this, I really going to miss your beautiful ftu kits , but of course I can really understand you.The closest I have experienced to be stolen from is that a lady I didn't knew had stolen my whole blog design, and bragged about how she had made the tags, and the background and all stuff I had made from PTU KIT I had purchased, she even called her self Betsy, after that I use my name on tags, Betsy E. Anyway, takes even longer time to make skrapkit, so I can image how aweful this must be for you, you have my full support hun, if I see something like that, I will notify you of course, . Hugs xxx Betsy E.

  8. Thanks for letting me know about this site hunni, I totally get where you are coming from. There is always someone spoiling it for others. Not sure if it is possible to do it and prevent them from uploading elsewhere. I used to get so mad to but these days I feel more disappointed. I remember once I found a FTU script of mine in stores even with a small alteration done I knew it was mine, I was so mad! I mailed her and she played the 'I didn't know it was wrong' card. I contacted all the owners, proved it was my script and she got booted out of all stores, didn't make me any less mad tho. And worse she is back designing under a new name. Thanks again hun for your help with this :)

  9. Magik, you have my heartfelt sympathy It is a sin and a shame that a person/s can be so downright disrespectful. I feel you and support your decision. I love your kits, I am presently taking designer classes and this is a warning that I will take heed to, although,I've had some experience in that my hubby is a professional photographer and some take it upon themselves and steal his work from FB and post on their sites without permission and it does piss you off and rightfully, you put your love, time, creativity and generosity into designing those kits to share and someone shamelessly steal. I hope you find a way to resolve the issue. If there's anything I can do, let me know.
