After making my Irish templates for St. Patty's Day, I had some left over word art I didn't use, or could get to 'work'.I also included some word art that is on a couple of my temps.The word art is on multiple layers which will allow you to colourise, dropshadow, etc. to your own preferences.There is a PSP & PSD file in the zip.Here's a preview:

OMG! They're not HIM tags. LOL

Aside from my 2 most recent tutorials, I have been 'stuck' on making HIM tags. *blush*BUT! Last night, I took the initiative to go through kits I've bought, with the intent to use and my tubes as well (I'm a tube & kit hoarder)& try to get back on track making non-HIM tags.I think I succeeded, at least with these two:

The tube I used is the stunning Rebel Rider 3 from Jose Cano.

The kit I used is from Kristin at Toxic Desirez & is called Rebel Rider 1.

The template (Collab02) is an awesome temp from Tasha, Amy & Leah.

The other tag I got made is this one:

The kit I used is from Bello Scarto & is called Sorry Officer I Been A Bad Girl.

PTU- I Make The Rules

This tutorial is borne from my own manipulated lil' mind.

Any similarity to any other tutorial(s) is purely coincidental.

This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge of PSP,

and was written using PSP XI, tho' any version should work.

Supplies Needed:

Tube of choice. I am using the beautiful artwork of Jose Cano, named Kat 2.

You can find this & many others of his tubes at PTE.

Do NOT use this artwork unless you have a license to do so

& have purchased the tube.

Scrapkit is Naughty Kitty from Kristin at Toxic Desirez.

This is a PTU kit & can be found by visiting her blog.

Template: CM_CollabTemp3_Chichi_Tonya at Creative Misfits.

You can find the pack here. Its in the Cindy & Tonya collab temps.

Mask of choice, or mine here: supplies.

* I have never made a mask before. I couldn't find one that 'worked', so

I made my own for this tutorial.

Font: swatch it.

Filters: Tramages- Tow The Line

Penta- Jeans

Xero: SoftMood

Xero: Porcelain

Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow

Let's do this! =)

Save your progress often.

Drop shadow used for this tutorial is 2 2 48 4.

Each time I add my papers, I crop my tag to canvas (CTC)-

(surround the whole tag when cropping) before adding gradient glows.

This eliminates those nasty 'phantom shadows' on the edges of your tag.;)

Open up the template. Duplicate it & close original.

Delete the credit layer at the top.

Working from the bottom of the template, up:

Copy & paste paper of choice. Apply mask.

If using my mask, resize 115%. Crop to canvas.

Delete Upper & Lower Halftone Layers.

The rotated black square- leave as is & add a drop shadow.

For the rotated pink square- Selections- select all. Float- defloat- Invert.

Delete layer in palette. Copy & paste paper of choice.

Hit delete on your keyboard. Select none.

Delete the rectangle outline.

For the small black rectangle, add a drop shadow.

Next, on the pink shape- Selections- select all. Float- defloat.

Add a new layer & flood fill with gradient: Foreground: #f3e0e4,

Background: #aa2e5e Angle- 45/ repeats- 1.

Select none & delete the original layer in palette.

Big Black circle- change the colour to #aa2e5e.

Add a bit of noise- Uniform/ Monochrome 65%.

For the Background Circle- Selections- select all. Float- defloat- Invert.

Delete layer in palette. Copy & paste paper of choice, resized 80%.

Hit delete on your keyboard. Select none.

On the Top Circle Back, recolour with #b9244e or something close to it.

Then on the Top Circle, Selections- select all. Float- defloat- Invert.

Delete layer in palette. Copy & paste another paper of choice, resized 80%.

Hit delete on your keyboard. Select none.

Apply Penta- Jeans at the default settings.

Change the colour of the large pink rectangle to #b9244e

(or whichever colour you used for the circle back above).

On the black rectangle, apply Tramages- tow the line at default settings.

For the Bottom Circle Back, recolour with #b9244e or something close to it.

Then on the Bottom Circle- Selections- select all. Float- defloat- Invert.

Delete layer in palette. Copy & paste another paper of choice, resized 80%.

Hit delete on your keyboard. Select none.

Apply Penta- Jeans at the default settings.

On the Pink Rectangle Back- colourise again & add a drop shadow.

On the Rectangle, Selections- select all. Float- defloat- Invert.

Delete layer in palette. Copy & paste another paper of choice.

Hit delete on your keyboard. Keep selected & add your closeup tube.

Again, hit delete. Select none. Crop the tag to canvas.

Then duplicate your tube. On the bottom one, set to Luminance (L).

On the top, add a Gaussian Blur at 3. Then set to Soft Light.

Delete the symbol layer. On the Dotted Rectangle layer- change colour.

then, move this layer below your tube layers.

The white rectangle & black square layers- leave as they are.

Copy & paste your closeup again. Rotate 15 right.

On the black square- Selections- select all. Float- defloat.

Modify- Expand by 2- Invert. Resize your angled tube 40% (or as needed).

Position as desired, hit delete on your keyboard. Select none.

Apply Xero- SoftMood:

Now, copy & paste your main tube.

Apply Xero-Porcelain at default settings & add drop shadow.

For the wordart- recolour to your own preference.

Now let's add some elements. For each that I resized,

I sharpened & added a drop shadow.

Ribbon 1- Resize 65%.

Paw Prints- 45%.

Collar 2- 30%. Rotate 30 left & sharpen.

Duplicate this & drag one down below Pink Rectangle Back.

On the top one, erase part of the collar to make it look like it's 'looped' over the rectangle.

Add a drop shadow to the bottom collar layer.

Boa- resize 65% & place under your main tube. Add your drop shadow.

Whip 2- resize 50%. Mirror. Sharpen & place just on top of the boa, under your tube.

Add drop shadow.

Next, add the handcuffs, resized 25%.

Flower 3- 40%. Sharpen & add your drop shadow.

Crop &/or resize to your preferences.

Then add your copyrights & watermarks.

For the name, I used swatch it.

Apply a thin gradient glow set at 3:

Delete the white background on the bottom,

merge visible & save as a .PNG & you're done.

This tutorial is borne from my own manipulated lil' mind.

This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge of PSP

and was written using PSP XI, tho' any version should work.

This is fairly simple & doesn't require too much effort.;)

Supplies Needed:

Scrapkit is Attitude from Tasha's Playground.

This is a free to use kit. Make sure to leave some love when downloading. =)

Mask of choice.

Tube: I'm using the always gorgeous artwork from Keith Garvey.

This one is called Menacing. You can find this tube at PTE.

Do NOT use this artwork unless you have a license to do so & have purchased the tube.

Filters: Xero- Porcelain

Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow

Eye Candy 4000 HSB Noise

Fonts: Bleeding Cowboys & Sick Capital Vice.

Let's do this! =)

Open up frame. Duplicate it & close out the original.

Image- Canvas size- 650 X 650.
Copy & paste a paper of choice. Move below your frame in layers.

Apply mask of choice. Merge group.

Copy & paste cityscape. This should fit perfectly in the frame.

Move it below the frame in layer palette. Do not drop shadow.

Next, click inside frame with magic wand. Modify- expand by 16.

Invert. Copy & paste another paper of choice. Hit delete.

Move this paper under the frame. Next copy & paste your closeup.

Position as desired. Hit delete. Select none.

Crop your tag to canvas (surround the whole tag & crop).

This eliminates any phantom shadows on your tag.;)

Next, on your closeup, duplicate.

On the original, change the blend mode to Luminance (L).

On the duplicate, add a Guassian Blur of 3.

Set the blend mode to Soft Light. Change the opacity on both layers to 40.

Move your cityscape layer above your tube layer in the layers palette.

Add a drop shadow of choice to your frame.

Next copy & paste brassknuckles. Add drop shadow.

Add the dice next. Add a drop shadow.

Copy & paste skull. Resize 80% & rotate 15 right.

Sharpen & add drop shadow.

Next copy & paste your main tube.

Resize if needed & place her to the right. Apply Xero- Porcelain:

Add a drop shadow.

Resize tag to your choosing.

Now add your copyrights & watermarks.

Next, using the Bleeding Cowboys font, type out 'On Top'

or whatever phrase you choose. Duplicate.

On top layer, add HSB noise at the default settings.

On the bottom layer, add a thin light grey gradient glow.

Add noise- Uniform/ Monochrome 65%. Add drop shadow.

On a new layer, type your name using the Sick Capital Vice font.

Duplicate. On bottom layer, add gradient glow:

Add noise again to this glowed layer.

Merge visible & save as a .PNG

Save your progress often.Drop shadow used for this tutorial is 2 4 40 6.If you are going to animate with a transparent background like mine, do NOT drop shadow any parts on the template.Each time I add my papers, I crop my tag to canvas (surround the whole tag when cropping) before adding gradient glows.
Open up the template. Duplicate it & close original. Delete the credit layer at the top.Working from the bottom of the template, up:
For Raster 18: Selections- select all. Float- defloat- Invert. Delete layer in palette. Copy & paste paper 1 resize 80%. Hit delete on your keyboard. Select none. Crop to canvas. Duplicate. On the bottom one, add thin Gradient Glow set at 3 in red:

Add noise- uniform/ monochrome/ 75%.
Raster 19- Selections- select all. Float- defloat- Invert. Delete layer in palette. Copy & paste Paper 10 resize 80%.Hit delete on your keyboard. Select none. Crop to canvas. Add same thin Gradient glow set at 3 in black.
For raster 24- Adjust/ Hue/ Saturation to a blue colour.Raster 23- noise- unifrom/ monochrome/ 75%.
Raster 20- Selections- select all. Float- defloat- Invert. Delete layer in palette. Copy & paste paper 2. Resize 80%.Hit delete on your keyboard. Select none. Crop to canvas. Apply Xenofex 2 Constellation:

Copy of Raster 18- Selections- select all. Float- defloat- Invert.

Delete layer in palette.paper 3. Resize 80%.

Crop to canvas. Duplicate. On the bottom one, add thin Gradient glow set at 3 in red.

Add noise- uniform/ monochrome/ 75%

Delete Raster 21 & Copy of Raster 21.

Move Copy of Raster 14 to just above Raster 14 in layers palette.

Merge down. Add new layer. Flood fill with gradient of your choice using the GB Colour palette.

Angle- 45/ repeats-5. Apply DBS Flux-linear transmission:

On your merged layers- Selections- select all. Float- defloat- Invert.

Delete layer in palette. activate layer you just made above, hit delete.

Select none.

Next, delete Raster 15 & copy of Raster 15, Raster 22 & copy of Raster 22.

For raster 8- Selections- select all. Float- defloat. Add a new layer.

Flood fill with gradient: #d5281a- foreground/ #800000- background

Angle- 45/ repeats-0. Select none.

Next, copy & Paste Feather 4, resized 35%. Apply MuRa Meister's Copies:

Go back to your layer below this one. Selections- select all. Float- defloat- Invert.

On your copies layer hit delete. Keep selected. Change your feather layer to Overlay.

Next copy & paste the texture. Resize 40%. Hit delete.

Change this layer to whatever you prefer. I set mine to burn. Keep selected.

Next add your closeup or tube, position where desired, hit delete. Select none.

Crop to canvas. Apply Xero Porcelain to your tube layer at these settings:

Drop opacity down to 60%. Add drop shadow.

Next, add your main tube. Resize & position as desired.

Apply Xero: Radiance at these settings:

Add drop shadow.

Next, add some elements. Sharpen & add drop shadow to each.

Feather 2- Resize 40%. Duplicate. Mirror one & place to left of tube.

On the other, rotate right 60 & place near the top above the one closeup.

Copy & paste spider & resize 25%.

Flower 1- Resize 65%. Duplicate. position both like I have on my tag.

If you're not animating, apply Xenofex 2 Constellation to both (same settings as before).

Add your copyrights & watermarks.

Add your name. Duplicate. On the bottom add a gradient glow set at 3:

Then add some noise to this layer- Uniform/ monochrome/ 75%.

Add drop shadow. Delete your white background layer,

Merge everything visible save & you're done.

For animating with a transparent background:

If animating, close both your flower layers.

Delete your white background at the bottom & merge everything visible.

Duplicate this merged layer twice. Close the top 2 layers.

Merge your flower layers together & duplicate twice.

Close off the 2 top layers of the flowers.

On your opened flower layer, add Xenofex 2 Constellation with the same settings as before.

Merge visible & rename this layer 1 & close off this merged layer.

Open one of the bottom merged layers & one of your flower layers.

Apply Xenofex 2 Constellation to this flower layer, but hit random seed first.

Merge these to layers visible, rename layer 2 & close.

Repeat with your last merged layers, hitting random seed for Xenofex 2 Constellation on the flowers.

Save this 'base' as an animation file.

Now, add your name on a blank canvas.

Duplicate. On the bottom add a gradient glow, using the same settings as

shown for the non-animated tag. Add some noise- Uniform/ monochrome/ 75%.

Save this as a name file.

Open both in Animation Shop.

For your name, click Animation (on the menu bar at top)- Insert Frames- Empty-

On your tag, select all & change the frame properties to 20.

On the name file, select all & copy.

On the tag file, select all & CTRL & E keys.

Do NOT click until you have the name where you want it.

Position where you want & then click the mouse to 'set' it.

Save at these optimization settings & you're done.

The template is my own & was made exclusively for the Creative Chicks

for the Jan. template challenge.

The image (animation) I used is a gif I made

from the U.S. version of the music video by HIM- 'Killing Lonliness'.

My Result From A Tutorial By Tragedy

This is my result from trying out Tragedy's awesome tutorial: 'Throat Full Of Glass'.

As soon as she'd posted that tutorial on her blog, I knew I had to do it,

but I wanted to 'HIM-ify' it. LMAO

I had fun making this one & I thought the song 'Shatter Me With Hope'

by HIM would be perfect for this tag.

Delete layer in palette. Copy & paste DBV_PCVpaper (10) resized 80%.

Hit delete on your keyboard. Select none.

For Layer 10: Selections- select all. Float- defloat- Invert.

Delete layer in palette. Copy & paste DBV_PCVpaper (3).

Hit delete on your keyboard. Select none.

For Layer 9: Selections- select all. Float- defloat- Add a new layer.

Delete layer 9 in palette. On your new layer, flood fill with the following gradient:

#ffc7e2- foreground #a73d6b- background

Linear/ angel- 45 Repeats-1. Select none.

Then apply Xero- Simplicity at these settings:

Then add a gradient glow set at 3:

Next, copy & paste DBV_PCVpaper (12) above layer 8.

Resize 60% & rotate right 15. Position it above the square in layer 8.

Then on layer 8, Selections- select all. Float- defloat- Invert.

Delete layer in palette. Select your rotated paper you just added.

Hit delete on your keyboard. Select none.

Next, delete layer 7.

For Layer 6: Selections- select all. Float- defloat- Invert.

Delete layer in palette. Copy & paste DBV_PCVpaper (2) resized 80%.

Hit delete on your keyboard. Select none.

Change the colour of layer 5 (frame) to a pale light pink.

Add noise- Uniform/ Monochrome/ 75%.

For Layer 4: Selections- select all. Float- defloat- Add a new layer.

Delete layer 4 in palette. On your new layer, flood fill with the following gradient:

#ffffff- foreground #eb70bb- background Linear/ angle 36/ repeats 6.

Select none. Then apply Xero: Soft Vignette:

Add noise at same setting as other frame to layer 3 (heart frame).

Crop to canvas & go back & add gradient glows &/ or drop shadows

of your choice to the layers except the heart frame layer.

Next, click inside your heart frame with the magic wand.

Selections- Modify- Expand by 2. Invert.

Copy & paste your closeup or tube. Resize as needed. Hit delete.

Move tube below frame layer. Duplicate.

On bottom layer change blend mode to Luminance (L).

Add a Gaussian blur of 3 to the top layer & set blend mode to Screen.

Add a drop shadow to the bottom closeup.

You can now add a drop shadow to your heart frame if you prefer.

Add your main tube. Resize & position to the right side as shown in the tag.

Apply Xero: Radiance at these settings:

Then add your drop shadow.

Next, let's start adding some elements.

After resizing, sharpen & add a drop shadow to the following

DBV_PCVelement (38) resize 65%

DBV_PCVelement (26) 40%

DBV_PCVelement (11)

DBV_PCVelement (29) 35%

For the word art, use the magic wand to select all of the word 'cupid', then add some noise to it.

Then select the words Valentine's Day & slightly change the colour to a darker pink.

For mine, I did delete the drop shadow layer for the word art & added my own.

Next crop &/ or resize to your preference.

Then add your copyrights & watermark.

Next type out your name. Duplicate it. On the top layer, add a bevel:

On the bottom add a gradient glow, set at 3:

Add drop shadow to this bottom layer.

Delete the white layer at the bottom, merge visible & you're done.

This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge of PSP.

This tutorial was written using PSP XI, tho' any version should work.

Supplies Needed:

Tube of choice. I am using the artwork of DiMary, called Goth Bride at Pics For Design.

This tube is an exclusive tube available for members of the Exclusive Club.

Any other tube will work nicely for this tutorial, also. ;)

Do NOT use this artwork unless you have a license to do so & have purchased the tube.

Scrapkit is Gothic Meets Steampunk. This is a pay to use kit from Brenda

& can be found by visiting her store- Ditz Bitz.

Mask of choice.

Font: Font of choice.

Filters (optional): Xero- Bad Dream

Xero- Porcelain

Xenofex 2- Burnt edges

Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow (for text)

Let's do this! =)

Save your progress often.

Drop shadow used for this tutorial is 1 4 40 4.

Open a new image 650 X 650.

You can crop/ resize later.;)

Copy & paste paper of choice, resize 25%.Apply mask of choice. Merge group.* You may have to size this mask layer up after merging group.I resized mine 115%.
Copy & paste ditz_frgt. With your magic wand, click inside the frame.Selections- Modify- Expand by 1. Invert.Copy & paste another paper of choice, resize 25%.Hit delete on your keyboard. Drag this layer below frame layer in palette.Next, copy & paste your closeup or tube of choice.Resize as needed. Hit delete. Drag this layer below frame layer in palette.Select none.
On your tube layer, apply Xero- Bad Dream at these settings:

Change the blend mode to Hard Light & lower opacity to 60%.Add your drop shadow.
On the frame, apply Xenofex 2 Burnt edges at these settings.For the burn colour, choose a dark brown-ish or charcoal colour for best results.;)

Then add your drop shadow.
Elements- Copy & paste the following. Resize as I have listed here:
ditz_93kyfa8- Resize 15%. Sharpen. Place in top left corner. Add drop shadow.
ditz_GMS3- Resize 25%. Duplicate.On one- Image- Mirror. Adjust- Hue/Saturation/ Lightness to a more vibrant red colour.Sharpen & add a drop shadow. Position at the top left. (See mine for placement)On the duplicate, desaturate it to black. Sharpen. Add drop shadow & position at the top left with the other one.
ditz_gmsp- Resize 25% & sharpen. Place inside circle frame in top left corner, above the feathers.Add your drop shadow.
ditz_GMS2- Resize 20%. Rotate right 15 & sharpen. Position like mine & add drop shadow.
ditz_xcef- Resize 42% & sharpen. Position at the lower part of your frame.Add a drop shadow.
ditz_jkl82902- Resize 20%. Mirror & sharpen.Position on the left side of the frame.Add your drop shadow.
Add any other elements you choose. Resize, sharpen & drop shadow each.
Next, add your main tube. Resize & position to the right of the frame.Apply Xero- Porcelain at these settings:

Add a drop shadow to your tube.
Crop/ resize your tag as desired.Now's the time to add your copyrights/ watermarks.
Next, add your name.Duplicate your text layer. On top layer add an inner bevel as shown here:

On the bottom text layer, add a gradient glow:

Add a drop shadow to this layer.

Last, merge all layers visible & then save as a .PNG & you're done.

I thought I'd try a new colour-scheme/ look to warm things up a bit. I still have the Finnish 'hottie' (aka Ville Valo) as a header on my blog, so no worries there. =PI'm not sure if I like this look yet, so I can't guarantee how long it will last.Anyway, with the new look, I've also added a new 'blinkie' thingie as well.

This tutorial was written using PSP XI, tho' any version should work.

This is a pretty simple/ easy-peasy tutorial.

Promise.=)

Supplies Needed:

Tube of choice. For the first example, I am using the stunning artwork from Olivia.

This tube was available at CDO, but she has since left there.

At the time of my making this tutorial, it is unknown where to buy her tubes.

Any other tube will work nicely for this tutorial, also.

My other example at the bottom uses the artwork of Keith Garvey,

available at PTE. ;)

Do NOT use this artwork unless you have a license to do so & have purchased the tube(s).

Scrapkit is Amore. This is a pay to use kit & can be found

by visiting Bibi's blog here.

Any other kit will work too as long as it has some heart scatters.;)

Template: Heart Forum set temp from me, here.

There is a PSP & PSD version avail. depending on what program you use.

* This forum set can be used for anything else,

just do not include in your supplies for tutorials, please.

Font: Any thin script font will work.

Filters: Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow (optional for name)

Let's do this! =)

Save your progress often.

Drop shadow used for this tutorial is 1 4 40 4,

except for the name which is 1 1 40 4.

Open up the sig tag & avi templates. Duplicate them & close originals.

Delete the credit layer at the top on both.

For the sig-tag temp:

You can change the background layer to your choosing-

Selections- select all. Float- defloat- new layer &

then flood-fill with a new colour or gradient or copy/ paste a resized paper.

Then delete the original layer. For mine, I left it as is.

On your frames layer, colourise it to your own preferences.

Add noise: Uniform, 65%, Monochrome.

Next, copy & paste BC Amore (39) (or any heart scatters)

Resize 80%. Sharpen & add a drop shadow.

Position one over to the bottom left. Duplicate, mirror.

Copy & paste this element again. Resize 80%, sharpen & drop shadow,

Position this one to the center left. Duplicate & mirror.

Merge these four layers together & then drag

this layer below you heart background layer in layers palette.

Next, at the top layer of your sigtag, copy & paste BC Amore (41).

Resize 40%. resize again 80%. Sharpen & add your drop shadow.

If you look at mine, I positioned it so the 'V' lines up with the inner point

of the heart.

Next, with your magic wand, click inside the left heart on the frame.

Selections- Modify- Expand by 2. Invert. Copy & paste your tube of choice.

Resize if needed. Hit delete on your keyboard. Select none.

Drag this layer below your frames. Crop your tag to canvas

(surround the whole tag when cropping to eliminate any

'phantom shadows' showing up on the edges.)

Duplicate your tube. Mirror. Merge down. Duplicate your merged tube layer.

On the bottom layer, change the blend mode to Luminance (L).

Add a drop shadow. On the top tube layer, Adjust- Blur-

Gaussian Blur -3. Set this layer to Soft Light in your layers palette.

Now you can add your copyrights/ watermarks.

Next add your name.

This is the Gradient glow settings I used for mine:

Add the thin drop shadow. Merge visible & save as a .PNG.

For the avi:

Do the same as above, except Only ONE heart scatter is needed.

Resized at 80%, sharpen & add a drop shadow.

Omit using the Love wordart. Add your tube, this time resize it a bit smaller.

After cropping to canvas, Duplicate it.

Bottom tube set to Luminance (L) with a drop shadow.

On the top one, Blur- 3 & changed to Soft Light.

Add the copyrights/ watermarks.

Next, add an initial. Add a Gradient Glow & thin drop shadow.

Then merge all visible & save as a .PNG

Music that gets your mojo going, since this one is a bit lengthy.

Tube of choice. I am using a tube of Ville Valo from Arthur Crowe.

This tube is available exclusively at my Dark Light HIM fan site (in the forum).

Any other tube will work nicely for this tutorial, also. ;)

Scrapkit is Gothic Love. This is a free to use kit & can be found

Save your progress often.

Drop shadow used for this tutorial is 2 2 40 4.

Each time I add my papers, I crop my tag to canvas

(surround the whole tag when cropping) before adding gradient glows

or drop shadows to eliminate any 'phantom shadows' showing up on the edges. ;)

Open up the image pack for brushes.

You can either load the ones you wish to use into your program

or colourise them & copy/ paste them when working on this tag.

Open up the template. Duplicate it & close original.

Delete the credit layer at the top.

Working from the bottom of the template, up:

Merge Bar 3 down to Bar 2. Merge that layer down to Bar 1.

On your merged Bar layer, Selections- select all.

Float- defloat- invert- delete layer in palette.

Copy & paste PK-GL-P5. Resize 105%. Hit delete on your keyboard.

Select none. Add drop shadow.

Copy & paste PK-GL-P9- Resize 60%. Rotate 20 left. Duplicate.

On Top Left Square: Selections- select all.

Float- defloat- invert- delete layer in palette.

Position one of the rotated papers in the selected area.

Hit delete on your keyboard. Select none.

Repeat for Bottom Left Square with the other rotated paper.

Add drop shadow to both layers.

* Next, delete Bottom Circle layer.

With magic wand, click inside one frame of the Bottom Circle Frames.

Selections- Modify- expand by 2.

Add a new layer & flood fill with the following gradient:

#a14e77- foreground colour

#6e1642- background colour

Radial. Angle-0 Repeats- 6

Horizontal & vertical both at 50.

Repeat with other 2 circle frames on your bottom circle frame.

* Optional:

Add a new layer.

With brush (or brushes) of choice, colour- #dca0be

use brush(es) over your flood-filled circles.

Change the blend mode to overlay or whatever looks best to you.

Repeat * for the Top Circles layer & Circle Frame.On both circle frame layers (top & bottom): add noise:Uniform/ Monochrome/ 75%Then add your drop shadow.* You may have to drag these frame layers above your circle & brush layers in the palette.
Next, on Oval Background layer:

Selections- select all. Float- defloat- invert- delete layer in palette.

Copy & paste PK-GL-P13. Hit delete on your keyboard. Select none. Apply Tramages Pool Shadow at these settings:

Then apply Metal Peacocks:

Leave the pixel words as is.On your Oval Frame, add noise:Uniform/ Monochrome/ 75%Then drop shadow.
On the Heart Background: use the Hue/Saturation/Lightnessto adjust colour to your preferences.Then apply Xenofex: Shatter at these settings:

On your frame layer, use your magic wand to click on both sides of the heart.

Selections-Modify, expand by 4. Invert.

On your 'shattered' heart layer, hit delete key to clean up the excess.

Select none.

Now, to add a closeup of your tube there's two different ways to do this.

I did both for you, so you can follow either option 1 or 2.

(The option 2 example of this tag is at the bottom of this tutorial.)

Option #1:

On the Broken Heart Frame, use your magic wand & click inside on one side of the heart.

Selections- Modify- expand by 2. Invert.

Copy & paste your closeup (or tube if you have no closeup).

Resize, if needed, hit delete. Select none.

(Can repeat for other side of heart with another tube from same artist, if you choose)

Option #2:

On the Broken Heart Frame layer, carefully erase the zig zag down the center of the heart.

Then click inside the frame with your magic wand.

Selections- Modify- expand by 2. Invert.

Copy & paste your closeup (or tube if you have no closeup).

Resize, if needed, hit delete. Select none.

On your closeup layer, apply Xero- Porcelain:

Drop the opacity on your closeup layer to 75%.

Add your drop shadow.

Delete the Pixel Words layer.

Now, add your main tube. Position where desired.

Apply Xero- Radiance:

Then add a drop shadow.

Now lets add some elements.

PK-GL-WIRE- place to the top right.

Duplicate. Image- mirror. Image flip. Merge down.

Drag this layer below the bars layer in layer palette.

Add your drop shadow.

PK-GL-PEARLSONSTRING

Resize 60% & sharpen.

Position & add a drop shadow.

PK-GL-ROSE1- Resize 70% & sharpen.

Position on the top left. Add a drop shadow.

Duplicate. Resize this one 80% & sharpen again.

Mirror this one & position like on my tag in the top left.

Merge down onto the other rose layer.

Drag this merged layer below oval layer in layers palette.

PK-GL-BARBED HEART2

Resize 37% & sharpen. Position & add a drop shadow.

Crop & resize tag to your preference.

Now add your copyrights & watermark.

Next add your name.

I rotated mine left 15.

These are the settings I used for the gradient glow:

Add a drop shadow.

Next, delete the Bkgrd Base layer at the bottom.

Merge layers visible & then save as a .PNG & you're done.

Save your progress often.

Drop shadow used for this tutorial is 2 2 40 4

Each time I add my papers, I cropped my tag to canvas

(surround the whole tag when cropping)

to elimintae any 'shadows' showing up on the edges. ;)

Open up the template. Duplicate it & close original.

Delete the credit layer at the top.

Working from the bottom up:

Highlight bottom layer. Copy & paste paper 3 above.

Apply your mask. Merge group.

Raster 4- Selections- Select all. Selections- float

- Selections- defloat. Selections- invert.

Copy & paste paper2 resized 80%

- Hit delete on your keyboard

- Selections- select none.

Then delete the original layer you had 'floating'.

Do the same for copy of raster 4.

Crop to canvas.

On both layers- add a black gradient glow: set at 3, medium. Drop shadow.

Copy & paste paper25. Resize 80%. Rotate 17 left .

On Raster 5 : Selections- Select all. Selections- float

-Selections- defloat. Selections- invert.

Drag your resized & rotated paper below this layer.

- Hit delete on your keyboard

- Selections- select none.

Then delete the original layer you had 'floating'.

For copy of Raster 5- do the same thing as raster 5,

except rotate your paper 17 right.

I used the same gradient glow on both these layers,

but used a pink colour instead.

Raster 3- Selections- Select all. Selections- float

- Selections- defloat. Selections- invert.

-Paste paper 14. Resize 80%.

- Hit delete on your keyboard

- Selections- select none. Drop shadow.

Then delete the original layer you had 'floating'.

For Raster 2- I added Xero Fritallary at these settings:

Add drop shadow to this layer.

Next, on Raster 1- Selections- Select all. Selections- float

-Selections- defloat. Layers- New raster layer

Flood fill this layer with a gradient that matches with your tube.

The colours I used:

e568b2- foreground

c01f8a- background

linear- angle 36/ repeats 5

Select none.

Next, apply Tramages- Tow the Line at default settings.

Delete the original layer.

Raster 6- Add noise: Guassian/ monochrome 65% Add drop shadow.

Next, add your tube.

Apply Xero-Radiance at these settings:

Add a drop shadow to your tube.

Next, add your elements as follows:

Roses- resize 70% . Sharpen & drop shadow.

Drag under tube layer in layers palette.

Charm 2- Drop shadow & position to the bottom center of tag.

Bullet Hole 1- Resize 30%. Sharpen. Duplicate & postion randomly on tag.

Bullet Hole 2- Resize 40%. Sharpen, duplicate & position on tag.

Diamond- Resize 27%. Duplicate.

On bottom one- rotate left 17. Sharpen.

On the duplicate, resize again 80% . Rotate 37 right. Sharpen.

Don't drop shadow these.

Fuzzy Dice- Resize 28%. Sharpen. Add drop shadow.

Position at top right of tag.

Skull 1- Resize 20%. Rotate 13 right. Sharpen & drop shadow.

Place this on top right of tag, above the 'loop' of the dice.

Car- Resize 30%. Mirror. Sharpen.

Position to right of Charm2. Add drop shadow.

Add any other elements if you choose.

Optional-

Sparkles- resize 80%.

Use your eraser to clean up an excess you don't want.;)

Crop& resize tag to your preference.

Now add your copyrights & watermark.

Next add your name.

I used Sick Capital Vice for mine.

These are the settings I used for the gradient glow:

Delete the white background layer at the bottom.

Merge visible & then save as a .PNG & you're done.

I know I haven't got a tutorial or anything posted this week.I apologise for that.I've been spending the past couple weeks working on both my HIM fan sites:downgrading one & adding more content to the other.
I'm going to try to get at least a cluster frame or a set of them out as soon as I can.;)Next week I will work on a tutorial also.Of course, the key word here is try.

This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge of PSP.This tutorial was written using PSP XI, tho' any version should work.
Supplies Needed:Tube of choice. I am using the artwork of Ismael Rac. The name of the tube is Naughty Or Nice & can be found by visiting his store.Do NOT use this artwork unless you have a license to do so & have purchased the tube.
Scrapkit is Red n Black Xmas from Addictive Pleasures. This is a pay to use kit.Any other 'Christmas' kit should work nicely- as long as there's a string of lights in it. ;)Template: Jolly Santa which can be found at AngiRique's awesome blog.*Show the love when downloading.
Filters: Xero- Porcelain (optional for the tube)Tramages: Tow The Line (optional)Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow (optional for text & parts of temp)Eye Candy 4000 HSB Noise (optional for animating the lights)Font for name: Satisfaction (FTU font)

Save your progress often.;)
Open up the template. Duplicate it & close original. I re-sized mine so it was 700 px in width.Delete the credit layer at the top.If you are animating: also delete the mask layer & the rectangle shadow layers.
If you are animating this tag & wish to have your background transparent like mine-DO NOT drop shadow anything.
Working from the bottom up-Both rectangle layers: - Selections- Select all - Selections- float- Selections- defloat- Selections- invert-Paste paper 11 (or choice) - Hit delete on your keyboard- Selections- select none. Then delete the original layer you had 'floating'.On both my layers, I added a gradient glow to mine:Settings were 3, 25, 100, Fat in a red colour.
For both the small circles, - Selections- Select all - Selections- float- Selections- defloat- Selections- invert-Paste paper 8- resized 80% (position as needed)- Hit delete on your keyboard- Selections- select none. Then delete the original layer you had 'floating'.
For the center circle, Selections- Select all - Selections- floatLayers- new raster layer.Flood fill with a foreground/ background gradientI used #c00000 & #000000. Angle 45 & repeats 2Select none & delete the original layer.On your gradient circle layer,Effects- Tramages- Tow The Line at these settings:

Next, go back to your Circle Frame layers.

Add noise:

Next, on your Bottom Left Circle Frame layer,use your magic wand & click inside.Selections- Modify- Expand. Expand by 2Paste tube of choice, position as desired & hit the delete key.Do the same for the Top Right Circle Frame.Move this layer below the frame in your layers palette.On the top right frame, after I added my tube, I duplicated my frame & moved one below the tube in the layers palette.Then, on the top frame, I erased a little of it to give the illusion of her coming out of the frame.
Next colourise your word art to your own tastes.On mine, I duplicated the layer & added a thin gradient glow in white& then added some noise to that layer.
Next, add your main tube & position.Add Xero Porcelain with these settings:

Next, add your elements of choice & position. This is what I added:

stocking (2): resize 35%, resize one an additional 80%

baubles2- 55%

bells 50%

mug- 80%

gift2- 55%

gift3- 35%

holly- 35%

candycane- 45%

lolli- 45% (rotated 25 right)

lights- 80% (I erased some of the 'excess' on both sides)

Crop & resize your tag as desired.

Now's the time to add your copyrights & watermark.

If you're not animating, you can add your name,

delete the bottom white layer & save as a .png

If you're animating, don't add your name yet.

I tend to do my animating a bit differently,

so this part may seem lengthy, but it works for me. ;)

If you are animating, open a new image & add your name to it.

I duplicated my layer, added a gradient glow at these settings:

I added some noise to the top layer.

Merge visible & save as an animation shop image. (Mine was saved as name.psp)

We'll be using this again in Animation Shop. ;)

Back on your tag, delete your bottom white background layer.

Close out your lights layer.

Merge the rest of your tag visible.

Rename this layer 'tag base'.

Duplicate your merged layer twice so you have three.

Close out two of these duplicated layers.

Next rename your lights layer to 'lights'.

Duplicate your lights layer twice so you have three.

Close out the bottom two light layers.

On the top lights layer, use your magic wand to click on the bulbs

to select them. The whole bulb does NOT have to be selected.;)

Once selected, on your layers palette, right click & promote that layer.

Rename 'bulbs'.

Duplicate it twice so you have three. Select none.

Close out two of these layers for now.

On your opened promoted bulb layer

go to Effects, Eye Candy 4000 HSB Noise.

Here's the settings:

Once your lightbulbs are set, merge the opened layers visible, rename to '1' & close.

Open one of each layer: Tag base, lights & bulb.

On your bulb layer, apply the HSB noise again, except hit random seed first.

Merge all visible, rename '2' & close this layer.

Open your last layers: Tag base, lights & bulb.

On your bulb layer, apply the HSB noise again, except hit random seed again.

Merge all visible, rename '3'.

Open all layers.

I tend to save this 'base' for opening up in Animation Shop

if I'm wanting a transparent background for my tag, or to make multiple tags.

If you wish you can copy & paste each layer into Animation shop to proceed

or save it as an animation shop file.

Once in Animation shop, open your saved tag base you created in PSP. & your name file.

On the tag base:

Select all- Animation- Frame Properties. I set mine to 20.

* I tend to save this as a 'base' file at this point if making multiple tags.

Below is the optimization settings I have when saving my base.

Then when making more than 1 tag, I duplicate the base for how many I need. ;)

On the name file:

Animation- Insert frames- empty

Number of frames- 2

Insert before frame- 2

(leave the other settings as they are)

My example:

Once you have the three frames needed for your name,

Edit- select all /edit- copy.

Go to your tag base:

edit- select all

CTRL & E key

position your name where you want it & then click your mouse to set it.

If the animation looks good when you play it back, you can save.

Here's the 'best' settings I could get when saving:

This tutorial is a bit lengthy & might not be good for the faint of heart. lol

Supplies Needed:

Tube of choice. I am using the artwork of Ismael Rac.

The name of the tube is Warm Winter & can be found by visiting his store.

Do NOT use this artwork unless you have a license to do so & have purchased the tube.

Scrapkit is Winter Solstice from Addictive Pleasures. This is a pay to use kit.

Any other 'Winter' themed kit should work nicely also. ;)

Mask of choice. I used Vix_Mask440 which can be found at Vix PSP.

Look under 'Goodies'.;)

Template: Kandee Christmas Temp 8 which can be found at Kandi Kissez.

Look under Kan-Dee Mega Christmas Collab Templates ;)

Filters: Penta Jeans (optional)

Xero- Radiance (optional for the tube)

Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow (optional for text)

Eye Candy 4000 HSB Noise (optional for text)

Font for name: Plymouth Rock 'Snow Dusted' (FTU Font)

Make sure to leave some love when downloading the temp & mask. =)

Let's do this! =)

Save your progress often, since we'll be doing a lot for this tag.;)

Open up the template. Duplicate it & close original.

Delete the credit layer at the top.

Now, for most layers of the template, you'll be doing the following (unless I specify otherwise):

- Selections- Select all

- Selections- float

- Selections- defloat

- Selections- invert

-Paste paper of choice (resize & position if needed)

- Hit delete on your keyboard

- Selections- select none.

Then delete the original layer you had 'floating'.

Do not add drop shadows to your papered & flood-filled layers just yet.

Here's the papers I used (resizing, etc. included) from the bottom, working up:

P7- resize 80%

p4- resize 80%

p1- resize 80%.

* I also added Penta Jeans filter (optional) to this layer on the default settings.

For the white oval layer, here's what I did:

Selections- select all then float.

Add a new layer & flood fill with a foreground/ background gradient:

# b5c0c4 (foreground colour)

# 6a7376 (background)

Angle- 36

repeats- 4

Select none. Delete the white oval layer.

Make your new oval layer active.

Adjust: add noise at these settings:

Random/ 60/ Monochrome.

Sharpen (adjust, sharpen).

Next, working upwards again, continue with your papers:

p3- resize 80%

p8- resize 80%

On this layer, go to Effects, texture effects, weave at these settings:

Gap size- 1, Width- 6, Opacity- 2

colour- white for both

Fill gaps box ticked

The green strips layer I just colourised to this grey-blue colour: # 6a7376

For the gold rectangles layer, I did the same as the white oval layer, using the same gradient.

Then add Penta Jeans (optional) default settings to this layer.

The gradient rectangle layer, I did the same as the gold layer, except filled with this gradient:

# dce5ea (foreground colour)

# a7bec6 (background)

Angle- 45/ Repeats- 2

Now, for the following step, you can skip & keep the overlay layers if you wish.

You might have to recolour them, so they work with your tag.

I used bg2: resized 60% for this next step (unless you're skipping it).

On the 'overlay multiply ok to delete' layer,
I did the same as adding the papers to the other layers.

I then changed the blend mode of this layer to Multiply.

Delete the orginal layer & the screen layer.

Duplicate your new background layer you just made.

Change the blend mode on this duplicate to Soft Light at 80%

(or whatever blend mode you like best).

Optional- Select All on the top bg layer (the soft light layer).

Float, defloat & invert. Paste a copy of your close up tube.

(Resize if needed.) Hit delete key.

Change the opacity on this closeup layer to 30- 40%.

Skip over the wordart & snowflake layers & on the top layer for now.

On the dotted lines layer (at the very top of the template),

you can leave them as is or change the colour of them to your liking.

I changed mine to # 42474d.

Next, on the wordart back layer, I selected all,

float, add a new layer & flood-filled with the first gradient colours I used,

keeping the angle at 45 & repeats at 2.

Next, add noise at these settings:

Uniform/ 65/ Monochrome.

I added the same noise to the snowflakes layer.

Next, crop your tag to the canvas size.

This eliminates any 'phantom shadows' showing up on the outside edges of your tag. ;)

(*This is esp. good to do when using papers that you can't resize.;))

On my small circles & rectangle layer, I did a small gradient glow.

This is completely optional & not needed.

Next, go through your layers & add a drop shadow to these layers.

- the small circles (first layer)

- big circle

- rectangle

- glittered oval layer

- glittered word art.

- snowflakes

The drop shadow settings I used was 1, 4, 40, 4, black.

Now add your tube of choice. I resized mine to 60%.

Position where desired.

I used Xero Radiance at these settings:

Add drop shadow.

I merged my wordart layer down to my glittered wordart layer

& moved them to the top of the tag, however you can leave them where they are

or move them elsewhere on your tag.

These are the elements I used.

Position as shown on my example or to your own liking.

Sharpen & add drop shadows as you go:

- Medi_tree2- resize 50%

- tree- resize 40%

- lamppost- resize 50%

Drag this under your tube in your layers palette

& position behind your tube on the canvas

- dove- resize 30%, duplicate & postion both.

- diamondbling- resize 60% NO drop shadow

(Drag this to just above your closeup in your layers palette.)

Add any other embellishments you choose.

Copy & paste a paper of choice above your white layer on the bottom in the layers palette.

I used p9.

Add mask of choice. Merge group in your layers palette.

If using the same mask as me, resize 110%.

Delete your white layer.

Crop/ resize your tag, if preferred.

Now's the time to add your copyrights & watermark.

For the name, I used this colour # 58687a.

Duplicate your name layer.

On the top layer, I used Eye Candy HSB Noise at the default settings.

On the bottom name layer, I used a Gradient Glow at these settings:

Add your drop shadow to this bottom name layer.

Last, merge visible, save as .png & you're finally finished.

Enjoy your tag! =)

New image, sized 650 X 650 px.Flood fill your canvas with white.Copy & paste paper EC_CF_P3 onto your image.Apply your mask of choice.Note- If you are using the same mask as me,
make sure you have 'invert mask data' ticked.
Next, copy & paste EC_CF_CandyCaneFrame.With your magic wand, click inside the frame to select, go to Selections, Modify & expand by 4.Then Selections, Invert.
Copy & paste paper- EC_CF_P5. Resize 80%.Drag this layer under your frame layer in the layers palette & then hit delete.Selections- select none.Add a drop shadow of choice to your frame layer.
Copy & paste EC_CF_Penguin (either one).Resize 60% & sharpen. Position it in the center of your tag, like mine.Duplicate & on the top layer, add gaussian blur of 3.Change blend mode to soft light. Add a drop shadow of choice to bottom.
Copy & paste EC_CF_Mug1. Resize 50%, sharpen.Position on the right side of the penguin. Add a drop shadow.
Copy & paste EC_CF_Stocking&Bow.Resize 50%. Sharpen. Move to left of tag, position where you like. Add your drop shadow of choice.
Next, you will copy any 2 of the EC_CF_XmasBalls.Resize both to 35%. Sharpen. Position both to the left of the tag. Rotate one 15 to the left. Rotate the other 125 to the right. See my tag for how I have them placed.When you have them positioned, add a drop shadow on both.
Copy & paste EC_CF_Lights, resized 80%. Sharpen & add a drop shadow.Move down to near bottom of tag. See mine for exact placement.In the layer palette, drag this lights layer between the 2 Christmas balls.
Now's the time to add your copyrights & watermark.
For the name, I used a red colour from the frame. Next, go to Effects, 3D Effects- Inner Bevel.here's the settings I used:

Next, add a gradient glow with these settings:

I used the colour #f5e48b for mine.

Add a drop shadow.

Last, delete the white layer at the bottom in the layers palette.

Merge all visible & save as png.

This is my first tutorial and is borne from my own manipulated lil' mind.
Any similarity to any other tutorials is purely coincidental.
This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge of PSP.
This tutorial was written using PSP XI, tho' any version should work.
Supplies Needed:Tube of choice, preferable a full-body tube. I am using the artwork of Ismael Rac.
The name of the tube is Lethal Attitude & can be found by visiting his store here.Do not use this artwork unless you have a license to do so.Scrapkit is Gangster Babe from Addictive Pleasures. I think this kit is perfect for this tube.Mask of choice. I used Witchys Heart Exclusive #2 from Creative Misfits.
You can find the mask under Sparkle Masks.;)Filters: Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow (name only), optionalFont for name: Miami
Let's do this! =)
New Image, sized 650 X 650 px.Open paper 8 from the kit. Copy & paste onto your canvas.
Apply your mask of choice & merge group. Resize 105 %.
Copy paper 12 & paste on top of the mask you just made.
Apply the same mask & merge group. No need to resize this one.
Open cityscene. Copy & paste into your image. Resize 65% & sharpen.
Copy & paste sillouette2. Resize 55 %. Move slightly up & off center to the left.Duplicate sillouette2 & mirror. Resize this one 87%. Move down a bit & off to the right.See my tag for a better idea of placement.
Copy & paste the car. Resize 80% & sharpen. Position it so its in the center of the tag.
Add a drop shadow of choice. I used 1 4 40 4 throughout this tutorial.
Next paste the numberplate into your image.
Resize 25% & sharpen. Move it over the license plate on the car.
This is to add a 'touch' of pink, btw.;)
Add a drop shadow.
Copy & paste the case, resized 25%.
Place to the left of the car. See mine for placement.
Sharpen & add a drop shadow.
Next, copy & paste hat2. Resize 20% & sharpen.
Move so it looks like its sitting on the briefcase. Add your drop shadow.
Now copy & paste your tube. You will have to resize this accordingly, depending on what tube you are using. Place her so she's standing just in front of the car on the left side of the tag.For the tube I used, I resized 80%. Sharpen & then duplicate your tube.
On top tube, add a gaussian blur of 3. Change the blend mode to screen at 60%.On the bottom tube, add your drop shadow of choice.
Copy & paste the moneybag, resize 35%. Sharpen.
Duplicate this layer & position both someplace near the feet of your tube
(see my tag for where I placed mine.)
I added sparkles2 to mine to give it some extra 'bling'. Resize 80%.
Sharpen (yes, this does make a difference.)
Erase excess around the tag & to your liking.
I put a layer at the bottom of my tag &
flood filled it with a dark colour so I could 'see' to clean mine up.I then deleted that flood-filled layer.;)
Add proper copyrights & watermarks.
For the name I used Miami in a pink colour.
Duplicate your name layer & on the bottom layer,
add a gradient glow in a grey colour like shown:

(If you don't have Eye Candy 4000, here's another way to add that 'glow' effect:Duplicate the layer. Select all, float, modify & expand by 1 or2,
depending on your preference of thickness. You can then flood fill that expanded layer with a colour of your choice. Select none & you have your gradient glow.;) )
Add noise to the bottom layer you just added the glow to at these settings: Uniform, monchrome at 75. Add your drop shadow to bottom glowed & glittered name layer.
Crop &/ or resize your tag to your own preference. Merge all layers & save as a .PNGAll done! =)

Greetings!
This blog is slowly being borne. Please bear with me.

In time, I'm hoping to have some tags posted, maybe a tutorial or maybe share some other goodies as well.

Since I do own & maintain a couple fan sites dedicated to the Finnish band, HIM, I won't be able to post too often, but I'll try to get at least one post a week.

Oh! And since I am a HIM fan, I will be posting stuffs I've made with images of the band & Ville Valo as well. ;)

In the meantime, take care & I'll be back soon. =)
