PTU- Rocker

* Click for bigger

This tutorial is borne from my own manipulated lil' mind.
Any similarity to any other tutorial(s) is purely coincidental.
This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge of PSP
and was written using PSP XI, tho' any version should work.

Supplies Needed:
Tube: I'm using a hot new tube, 'Studs' by Justice Howard.
This tube is exclusive to Artistic Reality Talent.
Do NOT use this artwork unless you have a license to do so
& have purchased the tube.
Scrapkit: Rocker 2 is a PTU kit from Tamie at Addictive Pleasures.

Filters: optikVerve Labs- Virtual Photographer
Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow
Font: You Are Loved
Drop shadow used in this tutorial is 0 0 100 8.

Let's do this! =)

Save your progress often.;)

Open a new canvas 600 X 600 px.
Add the frame2 to your canvas.
With your magic wand, click inside each of the squares of the frame.
Modify- Expand by 2. Invert. Copy & paste paper or papers of choice.
Hit delete for each paper. Keep selected.
Then add your closeup or tube to the left squares of the frame.
Resize them as needed. Hit delete & select none. Crop to canvas.
Move your frame above the paper(s) & tube layers in the palette.
Then add a drop shadow to your frame.

On the top tube of the frame, Select all- Float- Defloat.
(This is to prevent a default black bkgrd on your tag.)
Apply Virtual Photographer at these settings:
Select none. Then duplicate this tube & on the top one,
add a gaussian blur of 3.
Change the blend mode to Screen.
Add a drop shadow to the bottom tube.
On the other closeup, desaturate & add a drop shadow.

Next add your main tube at the top in your layers palette.
Position her off to the right.
Then add your drop shadow.

Now we'll add some elements:

netting- Resize 80%.
Rotate 15 left & place in the top left.
Add the netting again, this time not resizing, & rotate 20 right.
Place this one on the upper right of the tag.
Merge down on the other netting layer.
Send to bottom in layers palette.
Do not add a drop shadow.

stars- Resize 80%.
Use your manual color correction tool
to change them to a colour from your tube.
Sharpen. Place them in the top right of the tag.
Send to bottom in layers palette above the netting.
Add a drop shadow, dropping the opacity of the shadow
to 40 so it's not so 'heavy'.

Back at the top in your layers palette,
add the skull. Resize 55%. Rotate 13 left.
Place in the top left corner of the frame.
Sharpen & add a drop shadow,
make sure you change the opacity back to 100.

bow- Resize 55%. Rotate 30 left.
Use the manual color correction to match your tube.
Sharpen. Place on the left in the corner of the bottom part of the frame.
Add a drop shadow.

badge- Resize 45%.
Place on the bottom right of the frame.
Sharpen & add a drop shadow.

guitar- Resize 50%. Rotate 60 left.
Place on the left side of the tag.
Sharpen & add your drop shadow.

guitarpick- Resize 35%. Place with the guitar.
Sharpen & add a drop shadow.

Add any other elements you want at this time
to make the tag more 'yours'.

Now, crop/ resize your tag to your own preferences.
Then, add your proper copyrights & watermarks.

Now, add your name.
Give it a gradient glow:
Then add a drop shadow.

Finally, merge visible & save as a PNG & you're done.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
I'd love to see your results. =)
